Features : 10
A full sized nylon string electric guitar with a spruce top and laminated mahogany sides and back. The guitar is loaded with features including a cutaway, built-in electronics (including a tuner), and has a very smooth neck with a 1 7/8 inch nut. It's made in China.

I've been keeping an idea on the Chinese guitars and waiting for the moment when china does what Japan did--develop a superb guitar. This is the guitar.

Sound : 10
Acoustically this guitar has nice projection, a bright tone, and perfect intonation. Powered up, this guitar sings with the best of them. It surprised me to no end.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This gutar was perfect out-of-the-box. The set up is on the money, the fit and finish are superb, and the rosette is a beautiful blue/green made up of what looks like abalone--very nice.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've been playing this guitar, hard, for about six months. I practice with it, I perform with it, I've recorded with it--it does it all well and steadily. I've found no weaknesses in this instrument.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know and don't care. I believe that what we see is what we get. I saw this as a marvelous guitar and it has remailed so in my eyes and hands.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I've been playing for about 40 years. For the past five years I've either owned or played 40 mylon string electric guitars--looking for my ideal instrument. My favorite guitar is my Takamine Santa Fe and the Sunlit compares, favorable.

The only thing I don't like about the Sunlite is the headstock. The guitar as a whole is quite beautiful, but the headstock is as dull as dirt. It needs to be rounded off and instead having the name on the headstock there should be a sunlight logo of the same material used in the rosette. Then it would be just about perfect.
