Over the years I have been gravitating towards smaller guitars with focusing on a combo fingerpicking and strum style. This guitar does that very well. It is reminiscent of the old small bodies Gibson's with a bluesy sound. The off-set sound hole gives the player a great listening experience.

The guitar is very easy to play with a slim neck, smooth frets and great action. The woods are gorgeous and the build is almost flawless. It also came with a deluxe 6 latch case that is very sturdy.

While the top is cedar, the gloss finish should protect it well. It is built durable to gig with and should last a good while.

Have never needed warranty work for any of my Tacomas, but the lifetime warranty is nice.

This is my 7th Tacoma and I keep coming back for more. This also my second Chief and I realize that it's a good guitar for me. Tacoma represents a tremendous value for an all solid, American made guitar.

Chief body design, winged soundhole. Extremely beautiful Curly Mahogany back and sides(at first I thought that's what the CM stood for, insert smile) Nice AAA Cedar top. Dark black ebony fingerboard and bridge, inlays are simple dots, but of high caliper abalone. B-Band electronics no onboard controls. Ebony headstock face w/ pearl logo inlay or abalone, not sure. Gold Gotoh tuners w/ ebony buttons. Finish is high gloss except neck which is satin. Very unusual is the curly mahogany..especially curly on the sides. Beautiful to look at. No fancy frills here. Clear, nice coverage pickguard in place. Plugged in the pickup is one of the best I've heard, way to go B-Band! I like the fact that controls are absent, as I usually like an acoustic to sound always like an acoustic. However I can reset my amp/direct box as needed. Action is almost inline with my Strat. Frets are jumbo and the neck is one of the fastest I have played on an acoustic nice 1 3/4" width and has a great taper. Fret work is top quality. Included a very nice brown archtop TKL Pro case with blue velvet. All good here!

Very cool tone! Especially plugged....responsive, acoustically it's extremely loud for its size, very balanced and complex tone. Of the 3 models I played this one had the best tone. It was clearly louder and not as middy as the C1C or the CK9C (all koa). Which were nice, but thinner in the bass dept. I can't express in words the versatility of the tone this guitar has. It cuts through against most any setting. It favors highs and midrange. Bass is dry and surprising for a guitar of this dimensions. Has an unbelievable complex clarity. It resists compression and flatpicks decently. Single line notes ring clear and loud. The guitar favors fingerstyle! Harmonic overtones are sweet and abundant if you wish. Hard to put it down. It has a very distinct character, it does not sound in anyway like a dreadnaught, however it will surprisingly hold it's own against one acoustically. It will cut right through your average acoustic guitar. Plugged in or miked most dreds are no match for this axe. This guitar positively will not get lost in the mix. Just abundant with great all around tone! It will not play you... you must play it.

Flawlessly perfect....not even the tinniest of flaws anywhere! And I'm pretty obsessed with finding a flaw in man made objects. None to be had here, inside or out. What more can I say. Boutique quality craftsmanship!

Well built and solid. Care must be observed as with any fine instrument. Cedar top may be a bit more fragile than spruce or Koa? But not a problem. Gloss finish is better IMO than the thinner satin models. I will gig with it solo as well as with the band.

Allot of quality guitar for the bucks....It's a keeper. Way to go Tacoma...no wonder you are No. 3 of American made guitar companies in such a short timespan. I sincerely tip my hat to the fine folk producing these guitars!
