Very strong sound. Good in a live situation through a direct box or acoustic preamp. It is excellent mic'd in a studio setting. Mic placement gets creative due to the offset soundhole.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The action was set very low and the neck changed a bit during the first 2 months of play. I had a local guitar tech adjust the neck three times in the first 3 months. On the third try, we installed a shim under the nut and all fret buzzing ceased. The action is still low and extremely easy to play. I know that others have had concerns in fit and finish area, but my guitar was detailed nicely. Intonation is great, too. It is so nice to play a guitar that is in tune no matter what fret you play on.

Reliability/Durability : 9
After 6 months, everything is still as tight as day one. Live sound and studio engineers will love you for getting this guitar. Very little EQ is required to get a great sound. Sounds great and stays tuned. I do recommend a humidifier, though. It's a lot of guitar for the money ($675) and should be treated like a fine instrument.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
The Fishman Prefix Plus is an excellent match for this guitar. Even though it sounds great unplugged, it is even better through a PA. The offset sound hole makes the center of the top very rigid, producing a loud output. As a result, I have a lower stage monitor level because the acoustic resonance is loud (no feedback either!). I would recommend this guitar to anyone. Go for the pickup versions of this guitar. You appreciate the versatility.
