It's a 2002 Acoustic Electric Cutaway. Model # DM9C - E2 pickup configuration ( made by EMG ). Satin mahogany body with a spruce top. All solid wood. I think Tacoma is using Graphtec Nuts and saddles and D'addario strings. Came with case with a lock.

The sound is wonderful. Suits my style well. I play everything from the Eagles to stuff I just play to have fun. Plugged it inmy Flextone, the pickup is good. Although I need to plug it into an acoustic amp to really find out how good it can sound. I bought it for mostly unplugged anyway. What a great overall tone. I have played Taylors, Martin and Alvarez at a music store that used to sell Tacoma's. This sounds better. Just great!!

The action, fit and finish are good. I wish it had a clear pickguard.
And it good use maybe a semi-gloss instead of the satin finish. ( Just for protection and looks )

I haven't had it long enough. I am sure it will hold if you keep it in the right climates, etc.. It's all solid wood. No laminates used.

Haven't had a problem. Although I did talk to their support staff for help and asked if I could put a gloss on it. They said no go. It can't adhere to the finish already there. No big deal. Just need to keep my 4yr old son away from it.

I have been playing on and off since I was 12. I do find it hard to practice with work and family. However, a few play in my subdivision.
I also own a Fender MIJ Strat late 80's model.(Lace pickups and graptech nut and saddles with new sperzel locking tuners. An Ibanez AE15FMTS A nice flame maple acoustic electric. Great electronics. For sale by the way. Also own a Line 6 Flextone. Great Amp. Love this Tacoma. I will update you all in 6 months.

Dreadnought cutaway, 6 string steel with solid Sitka Spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides. 25.5 scales, 20 frets, one piece solid mahogany neck. Fingerboard is east indian rosewood with pear inlay dots, tuners are Gotcoh SG38/05 LRC (silver metal tuners). This guitar has a satin clear finish which looks very natural. The guitar comes with Elixir strings. In addition, this guitar is equipped with a Tone bar preamp, Piezo film pickup w/ velcro mounted battery pack (located inside the body. This guitar is a "no frills" but solid looking guitar.

The sound is great. I play both finger style and with a pick. The sound is rich, deep, and clear. Very long sustain and virtually no noise or "buzzing".

The fit and finish is flawless. I could not find any defectiveness in either the wood or the finish. The tuners were all installed correctly and fit well. The only "blemish" I could find was a "sanding line" on the back of the neck. It was only noticable when examined carefully.

The guitar is reliable and dependable. Operationally, there are no flaws. As far as overall durability, only time will tell. I suspect the satin finish will not be as durable as gloss. Also, this guitar does not have a pickguard. For those who use heavy picks, this may be a problem down the road. Since I use the pick sparingly, I don't consider it a real set back.

If you're looking for a solid wood American made 6 string that has outstanding sound, quality and VALUE, this is your choice. If you want to pay more for a "Martin" or "Taylor" I don't think you would be buying any more guitar for the money.
