I play a wide range of styles from Folkish to Zep and classical. This guitar makes them all sound great. I can play complete crap and this guitar makes it sound excellent. The unplugged sound is full rich well balanced and bright. Through an amp its tone and sound sculpting abilities are endless. Amazing sound and tone. I have played them all and nothing comes close to this unit!
Action, Fit, & Finish

After being shipped via UPS over 2000 miles through many climate changes it came out of the box in perfect tune. The setup and intonation are excellent. The string action is a little high for me but it still plays like butter. The elctronis are solid with true sound reproduction. The solid top and abalone perfing are flawless. I examined every inch of this unit, inside and out, and it is completly flawless. The wood grains and bookmatching are perfection. The binding is some of the best I have seen anywhere.

This guitar is capable of doing it all! The hardware is as good as any out there. The finish is as solid as the rest of the guitar. I can not imagine it ever wearing away. Comes equiped with the tail strap/cable button installed and a templet guide for installing a strap button on the neck heel. I anticipate no failures or problems from this unit based on the visible quality of workmanship. I would confidently use this for a gig without a backup.

While waiting for my guitar to arrive I did contact Tacoma to enquire about the case that would come with it. They responded within 12 hours! They were very friendly and helpful. The guitar comes with a lifetime warranty and with proper humidity control I dout I will ever need it.

I have been playing for over 28 years. I have been through many acoustic and electric guitars. I researched and demode many, many acoustics prior to trying a Tacoma DR12. After hearing that one I knew what I wanted and answerd all my questions online before making the purchase. If it were lost, stolen, or mutilated, I would not hesitate to replace it with a Tacoma. I would have a hard time trying to find another brand to replace it with if Tacoma stopped building guitars! I am just amazed by the tone and sound it produces! The overall quality is unmatched. I have not found anything that I dislike about it. I compaired it against Martin, Taylor, Gibson, Guild, Goden, and nearly every other available acoustic. The others did not compair regaurdless of price. If your looking for a new acoustic save yourself some time and check out a Tacoma.
