Gloss finish, dreadnought, wide neck, came with a case, solid spruce top, 3 piece rosewood back and rosewood sides, onboard electronics, neck is ebony I believe. Beautiful maple binding and abalone inlays.

When I first saw the guitar I thought it was too fancy looking. Then i played it. Absolutely the most beautiful tone I have ever heard. Full sounding with great base and articulate highs and a solid mid range. Made the Martin D-28 sound thin. I was blown away. Walked out of the store with it and haven't looked back.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I love the factory set up. I have not had it adjusted in 5 years, just change the strings every few months. Quality workmanship.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I have played this guitar with a rock band with numerous rehearsals and gigs and it has done great. I had to add a strap button at the neck (I couldn't watch him do it). I have noticed no finish problems with playing although it has gotten knocked around some, still looks great. It has never let me down. No back up for this guitar...

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to call them. I heard this model was discontinued though. I would have to find another to replace it if it was stolen.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing 40 years and mainly play classic rock. I was looking at Taylors and Martins when this one seduced me. I have a Telecaster (the workhorse), a 65 L series Mustang and Gibson ES 125T and an old Gibson LGO 3/4 size guitar. This guitar passed the "Can't walk by it without picking it up" test. Every time I walk past it i gotta play it. It never gets back into the case, I play it every day and still love the tone.

I remember when Tacoma first introduced their line of guitars. I went and played some of the cheif models. I liked them and thought they sound pretty good. I have never been much of a Mahogany fan when it comes to guitar woods. I later played and bought a EMC10. I blown away by the focus and balance of the instrument. I have keep and eye on the guitar line ever since then. I noticed that they had come out with a rosewood model in a three piece back like a Martin D35 ( I have always loved them and own a D3532 model which is the laminated model they ran for a couple of years. I knew I had to find one. I had to order it all the way from Elderly in Michigan and man was I not disappointed. This had got to have the clearest, loudest sound of any instrument I have ever played. Not too many guitars impress me. I have been playing for 16 yrs. I've played Martin, Taylor, Santa Cruz, and countless others. ( buy the way I dont like Gibson acoutisc's at all :) just a taste preference. I play with a medium pick and really go at a note hard. This is the only guitar I have had to back off. Not that it becomes muddy like most, rather it will keep right up and drown you so to say with sound.

Setup alright. Little low for my taste. Asked Tacoma about a new saddle and they point me to stewmac and I raised it a little. Had some fret buzz. Finish is the best I have ever seen. It had that deep gloss look with the best buff I have seen. I have rubbed tables in the furniture industry for Furniture Show (if you ever done this in NC then you know what I taking about ) and this is as good as the best equipment would ever give you. Binding awesome. Haven't found a mistake yet. Except for the action and like I said I drive it hard. Would have been fine for someone that uses those thin picks and makes that cinky cinky sound :)

Reliability/Durability : 10
Haven't owned but a week or so. Would say that it will be fine. Like the clear pick guard.

Customer Support : 10
Tacoma was great with the questions I had but a little slow. Not bad, but a little slow. I actually asked them if there was a dealer in NC that had one and they responded in email after I had already decided to get it from Elderly. ( Elderly by the way is great to deal with. Prompt and good pricing. Even took my trade a JF55 that I really liked but just wouldn't talk back when going it note for note. That is why I traded it )

Played 16 yrs
Martin, Guild, Tacoma, Shector Bass, Micheal Kelly F5 mandolin, Peavey sound equipment and Peavey Ecoustic 112

I would try to replace it if it got stolen, if I had the money. My opinion Tacoma is making the best guitars for the money hands down. Even though I do like the new 15 series from Martin.
