5th anniversary LTD, solid Brazilian back and sides with solid sitka top, satin finish. Mahogany neck, ebony FB & BR, 25 1/2 scale and 1 3/4" nut. USA made, '02. 20 frets. Chrome tuners clear pickguard. No electronics. No fancy inlays etc which is why they are affordable(ish).

I really like this sound. It is not Martin Taylor or Gibson but somewhere in between. Sitka top rewards a heavier playing style, and gives back some nice tones. As you would expect with a Little Jumbo deign, the bass is not huge and the volume not tremendous compared to its bigger brother. However, i have found mixing med strings on the low end with lights on the top end make this smaller body play like a champ without having to bear hug a huge body guitar.

Medium action is great for strumming and finger picking, my tech didn't have to do anything for setup really (waste of 100 bucks). Front bookmatching is nice, in fact i am still wondering if the back is a single piece because there is no match whatsoever. Amazing. The finish i'll deduct one point, obviously i knew that Tacoma was a wood company first and their finishes are just OK though i knew that going into the purchase. Honestly i don't care because i wanted a brazilian to play not something that sits in a glass case.

This guitar is built very well. After 5 years, no adjustments necessary. No problems whatsoever, except a bubble in the headstock finish. This is a players guitar, i wouldn't gig with a brazilian so i can't say for sure, as i use it in the studio. But you can tell it will last a very long time. Great wood, great construction.

I've called them only once to find out about upgrading tuners etc (actually it doesn't need it, just a phase i was going through) and they seemed like a small builder and very nice people, accessible and friendly.

I've been playing for 30 years, own Taylors, Martins, Gibsons, Breedlove, Seagull. This guitar is exactly like I had it on day one, and has given me exactly what I purchased it for. Sure, sometimes i wish it had super fancy crowd pleasing bling, but then again i never could have afforded a Brazilian with all that. I'm glad they didn't butcher the wood to put in electronics or ruin the great sound of the wood with a cutaway actually. Would I replace it? Hell yeah! This guitar screams value.

Very nice sounding instrument, rings out as if it was a dread. The sound seems very bright to me, brighter than any other guitar I own, but I'm no expert, just a player. Has no electronics, but that's the way I like it. My main dislike is just a minor thing, it's size. I new it was a small jumbo when I bought it, but I am used to smallbodies, maybe that's why it sounds so loud to me. I wanted it because it's Brazilian Rosewood and because of it's limited availability. It is so loud that it overpowers my singing, and that's probably a good thing.

The axe had been set at the store, so it was not an issue. The one peice Brazilian back and sides are stunning. Flawless construction as far as I can see.

This guitar is built like a tank, well at least a Humvee. It is rock solid, and I would expect it to last a long, long time and am going to enjoy it opening up as I pound it. The haerware seems as good as any, the finish doesn't seem to be an issue. I would expect Tacoma to put their best int an Anniversary Edition.

Been playing for some years. I own a Larrivee parlor which I have a love - hate relationship with. My primary is a Martin Custom 0016 cutaway, which is not as strong or solid as this Tacoma, but I have many more hours with it. I guess my favorate feature is the way it rings out so strongly. This is just the opposite of my mellow Martin, not to complain about the Martin, but I buy a new guitar so that I have something different than what I already own. If lost or stolen I'd be SOL, because I probably could never find another (only 50 made), one of the reasons I chose it. That reason and the GORGEOUS Brazilian back and sides. Maybe I wish it had a cutaway, but then I did just say I didn't want to buy what I already had, I'm just partial to cutaways. All in all I'm happy with it the way it is.

This guitar has a very rich and full sound with balance. You can feel the vibration all over the guitar. Great for fingerstyle but has the volume for any flatpicking you want to play. I have a Gibson SJ-200 and the only thing the Tacoma gives away is in the bass.

Alpha Music set this guitar up (and did a great job!)It plays great!! The neck is close to my SJ in size. The Brazilian Rosewood is dark with a great pattern. the only knock I might make is the satin finish. The binding is mitered. All the joints are flush and clean. A very clean look.

I haven't had it long but is feels like a very solid guitar. I have 2 Martin D's also(16 and 42K2) and it feels as solid as they do. More solid than my Larrivee' L-09.

I've owned many quality guitars(Martin, Gibson, Breedlove, Larivee) and to get a NEW Brazilian rosewood guitar for under 2 grand is amazing. I would be crushed if this guitar was lost or stolen. When I am in the market for another accoustic, Tacoma will get a good look from me.
