What an awesome guitar. I am going to long winded becuase if you are going to spend money for top of the line guitar, you will apprecite the review. USA Made. The body style is a mini-jumbowith a cut-away. Solid flamed Koa top, back and sides (book-matching done very close on mine. My particular guitar has just an beautiful grain that words can't fully describe Nice neck binding. No inlays on ebony fret board (which is exactly what I wanted) Active LR Baggs under saddle is outstanding, has notch filter to kill feed back. Looks to be mini Schaller tuners, black. Mine came with the deluxe case (other reviews stated the cases were not so hot) so mine fits like a glove with plush beige liner.

The sound is exactly what I wanted. I play finger-style and use many altered tunings. Great balance of highs, mids and lows. I think it is perfect for I wanted but then that is dependant on your style of play. It has a loud sound for it's size. I have heard louder guitars but none with this type of balance.

Perfect from the factory. Setup was perfect for me. As I mentioned before, the bookmatching was off slightly but you really need to look. Sure if this were a custom build the book matching might be perfect but you would also pay $4000 or more. I know a similar Taylor would be $3500+. My rating is excusing the slightly off bookmatching becuase I don't really care. THe finish is like a mirror, flawless!!

It is built as well as an acoustic can be. No button strap at base of neck. Tacoma gives you detailed directions that must be followed of the warranty could be void. I use a stool or a chair when I play anyway. I play it out every week at church and for solo events as well.

Had this for 1 month. I also own a 1991 custom shop strat (from the early days before Fender started pumping out the customs) I would buy if stolen, hell, I may buy another just to have a pair!! I played many guitars before buying this EEK19C. I played Martin, Taylor, Collings, Lowden, Santa Cruz, Running Dog plus many other. I loved the sound and finish. I weighed my decision on what the cost would be for a solid flamed koa from any of the other brands listed above. THe Tacoma was a hands down winner. Looking at other guitars from Tacoma, I really think this guitar is priced too low. My suggestion is always, go out and play it and then have someone play it for you (so you can hear facing them) If it sounds good to you, it is the right guitar.
