Being one of the first pros playing Takamine on stage, 1980, Takamine E340, dreadnought, I've been in love with these guitars a long time.I
am a Country Singer Somgwriter. It has a perfect blend of ampliied acoustic sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I never try to play a guitar out of the box, I always change strings, the basic setup and . All parts were near perfect, out of the box.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It has for me for more than twenty years, plus countless hours of rehearsal and songwriting time. Of course it gets checked at least
twice a year and adjustments are made as required. The strap buttons are rock solid, my guitar strap is a custom made leather strap that is very
heavy. Have never had it fail on a gig yet and most often never take a backup instrument. The finish is custom, airbrush painting of a black stallion, done by a good quality artist. It will last.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had cause to contact them, bought Custom Hardshell case through local dealer.

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing guitar since 1960. I own numerous other guitars, acoustic and electric. 1952 Fender Tele (Original), Peavey Predator Plus, Goya
Acoustic Dreadnought, Gibson Hummingbird, Schecter Avenger Mach II, and
a Rickebacker. I knew exactly what I was getting when I purchsed the EF341C as a replacement for my E340, which was stolen from my home during a break-in in early 1991.
As far as I'm concerned this is a guitar that is much better than most people realize, just ask Springsteen and many others.

It was made in Japan, Is black like Bruce Springsteen use, Bon Jovi, Tommy Shaw & others. An acoustic/electric with eq.

Sound : 8
Has a bright sound with good sustain. Is cutaway style. Used for various styles.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 3
Factory set up was terrible. It came set up high with medium gauge strings. I don't know when guitar manufactures will ever get the idea most guitar players do not play with high action & heavy strings. The average guitar player doesn't play constantly to build up that strengh in the fingers because they work all the time to pay their bills & for this expensive hobby they call music. Can't manufactures sell guitar bu the set up instead of by who professionally plays the thing who can afford to get the guitar set up correctly. Finish was beautiful.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Sturdy guitar. I would like to have seen a strap connection on the body.

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing for over 30 yrs. I would buy the guitar again & rate it pretty good for acoustic/electric guitars. It plays nice now but I did not like pulling it out of the box & having the guitar action so terrible. Guitars should be sold by their playability factor & the manufactures should be up front with that. They usually just don't get it though.
