Features : 10
OM Cutaway, 20 Frets, Solid Cedar Tops, Solid Mahogany Backs, Mahogany Sides, Rosewood Fingerboard, a thin Satin Finish and no pickguard & "anything that could possibly impede the vibration of the soundboard was purposely left out".

The action has a Truss Bar adjustment (5mm Allen)in the sound hole to meet your preferred string height for less work and faster movement on the fingerboard. I prefer mine lower than factory standards. (mark it about a 1/4 turn to start on a socket allen, then work from there)

Takamine CT4B Pickup: A warm-sounding 3-band graphic EQ with an extremely stable and accurate chromatic tuner. Great for non-standard and open tunings. I like the on board tuner and it's very handy when it require you to change tuning for the next piece you play.

Split Bone Saddle and nut.

The features of this model is exactly what meets my requirement. I don't want a guitar that's bundled with tons of bling-bling eye candy, but truthfully are mere sound suppressors like a pickguard and laminated wood.

Made in Japan

Sound : 10
Takamine Natural Series: Absolutely an acoustic jazz solo finger-playing beast with with a lot of base for a cut-away cedar top model. The highs are stunningly rich and dreamy smooth voice. Well balanced to the 20th fret and don't degrade, "but even punch more" as the tone gets higher. Plugged or unplugged the acoustics delivers rich sound. Would sound better unplugged and natural. Te sound as compared to others is not as bright as a Taylor, but brighter than a Martin. Takamine is in the middle.

The sound quality, I would recommend for Jazz Solo, Orchestra Renaissance and Soft Rock. Over all it has the sound quality of a $3000 Acoustic Guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Takamine has among smoothest finger board "out of the box" if you like to play music by Jack Johnson, Tommy Emmanuel or Doyle Dykes who does a lot of slides without feeling bumpy as I experienced with Taylor's and Martin's fret design.

Action is very easy to play.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Never had a problem with it so as my Classical Takamine Hirade TH5C that introduced me to to the Takamine quality. Both guitars are just so sweet to my ears.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No Opinion and never found the need to reach them.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing since 1970 and was really in the market for a Taylor 414-CE the time I saw this guitar with a tag that says Sale. I gave it a spin and played "Angelina" by Tommy Emmanuel and Self Portrait by Doyle Dykes... I was just so stunned and took the guitar home. If it was stolen, lost or wrecked, I will buy another one.

I own a Yamaha C-120, Yamaha FG-412S, Tacoma RM6 Road Runner, Kremona Sofia (awesome classical beast), Takamine Hirade TH5C, Takamine EAN70C
