Made in Japan :) Onboard EQ (T/M/B); Volume; Tuner with Hz switcher - from 438 to 443; Truss rod - Very rare for a classical!; 19 frets with great cutaway; Body is solid rosewood (Indian); Solid Cedar top; rosewood fingerboard; Mahogany neck. Gloss finish throughout; Case included. Would have prefered an ebony fingerboard, but rosewood is fine.

Accoustically, it has a way to go from legit classicals. Plugged in it sounds GREAT with a piezo and mike in the body - very warm (like a classical should be). Very even throughout the register.

A little fret buzz on the D string near the nut. Only other beef with it is the frets are a little too small. But hey! Playing real music with classicals isn't supposed to be easy. Frets are good, however. If all of my guitars had this few complaints, I'd be a happy man!

"Relentless" was a term I used for this baby when I played a gig with it recently. It was on the coast of NC. I played an hour inside for a cocktail hour then shifted gears outside to the beach for the ceremony. The humidity shift would've killed the tuning on most guitars; yet I tuned it once and never looked back. Love the truss rod. It makes it a little heavier, but is worth the stability. No

Let's face it - for most of us, the reason we write reviews on these products is cause we love them! I've been playing an average of 2 weddings/month plus a restaurant gig. This doesn't have the sound of a Brune or Fleta but, hey, I'm a working man and this is the perfect working man's classical! A great value - thank you Takamine and Washington Music Center.
