Released by Takamine in 2001 - only 150 guitars made and distributed to a select few dealers in the U.S. Sold out immediately. Takamine does not list this guitar on their website in discontinued models due to its limited numbers. Very difficult to find in the used market. New models now being marketing in the UK for $1750. Beautiful guitar, awesome sound, very impressive. She's a beauty!

Japanese made (in 2001) limited edition promotional guitar. NEX cutaway body style. Was told by Takamine that these guitars given to top selling dealers as a promotion and there were only about 500 made. Sweet CT-4B electronics. Very impressive woods and detail on this guitar - Brilliantly flamed maple top with deep red mahagony sides and back. Neck appears to be rosewood with tourquoise inlays along fretboard. Also tourquoise inlaid rosette. White binding along body and neck. Gold plated Takamine tuners and gold inlaid logo on headstock.

Sounds great. Fine middle tones. I do alot of rock rythym and some finger-picking and this suits my style fine. Sounds even better plugged into my Fender Princeton Chorus, but I rarely play it plugged in.

Action is fantastic. Better than any Tak I've owned in the past (I've owned 5 over the past 16 years). Have not had to make any adjustments to this guitar as is often the case.

I don't play live any more. I did play this guitar with my Fender amp (not the best amp for acoustic though) at a wedding. Played all intrumentals and it worked fine.

Been playing for 17 years. I own a few other Takamines, a Gibson ES 335 and play through a Fender Princeton Chorus amp. I'd give this guitar a 9.5 out of 10. Great sounding and incredible looking acoustic/electric for under a grand.
