Glossy clear finish top, glossy dark red sides and back, rosewoodish fret board, dot inlays side of neck and fretboard. Manufacture date on sound hole bracing. Sept 3 1979, within a month and year of my birth which i though was cool. The electronics are not functional since the jack is missing. Otherwise it would be a very simple gain and one band eq. (no idea what band)

Sound : 6
very quiet guitar, especially with light strings. mellow, not much boom. I'm not much of a player to work it though

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
easy easy to play, low even action. Buzzes if you play too hard with current setup. Fretwork is very good, finish has lasted and tuners turn easily still.

Reliability/Durability : 8
it's almost 30 years old and doesn't look it at all aside from the missing 1/4 " jack. a little wear on the frets and fret board at the 2nd and 3rd positions.

Customer Support : No Opinion
dunno

Overall Rating : 10
bought for 100 dollars. I wanted a campfire guitar and this was an obvious go for the playability and nostalgic value.

Made on May 9, 1972 (according to stamp on inside bracing). Solid top, probably laminated sleswhere. Has built in electorincs with EQ and Gain. Under the saddle. Gloss finish. Tuners look good, enclosed like gotoh. Hard case was with it.

Sound : No Opinion
Sounds great, not quite Larrivee or Taylor, but I play it more. Used at home with Roland AC100. I turn down treble and up bass. Good finger picking and strumming.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Action was right on, not too low or high.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I think this guitar is as sturdy as anyone would require. Its been around town and still excellent, although some regular wear signs.

No experience as such. Got it used from a barber. It was standing in the corner, I thought it was a Martin until closer inspection. Barber said he was selling it, so I bought it, along with the haircut. (Really, this is how it happened.)

Overall Rating : 9
Been tring to play for about 38 years. I love that it is not too expensive so I don't have to be afraid of scratching it. I love the size, the sound, the look (Martin!), I have other more costly instruments but this is one I'd bring out or loend to somebody careful. All in all, this is a real good guitar. These Takamine guitars that look like Martins, can't go wrong. I'd say worth more than I paid. Love her.

This is a smaller style guitar, like an auditorium model. It is one of the "lawsuit" guitars and looks just like a Martin. Not sure when it was made, early 80's or late 70's? It is a pretty lookin guitar complete with factory electronics.

Sound : 7
the sound is pretty decent. it sounded great when it was plugged in to my PA system, a bit bright but thats expected. unfornuately i kept lowering the action and now the high E string does not ring when plugged in. but playing it normally it sounds just fine, nothing mind-blowing but really nice.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
action was a bit high when i bought it. it was used, but in mint condition. i should of had a professional set it up but i did it myself and evenutally went to far and now the high E string does not make a sound when it's plugged in. i'm sure i can have someone fix that though. i like the size of this smaller guitar, and the finish is really nice.

Reliability/Durability : 9
this guitar has been used live, for recording, and just kicking around with various bands. it always sounded sweet. it has been knocked over into a cement wall at least twice and keeps on ticking. i can't really complain about it other than the dumb things i have done to it.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 8
since i don't see any other reviews of this guitar, i guess it might be pretty rare. i've been playing it for about 3 years now and its a keeper. plus everyone thinks it's a Martin from a far so thats always funny.
