Gloss solid spruce top, satin finish back & sides solid indian rosewood ,mahogany three part neck ebony fretboard and bridge.
Chrome Taylor tuners, Elixir 12s strings. Expression System with bass,treble and volume control.
8 because it could have gold tuners and ebony bridge pines with abalone with an extra cost of 80 dollars.Also in some of these guitars the figure of rosewood is not as expected for an LTD.
Sound

Its almost perfect for my style jazz and blues mostly fingerpicking.
The depth of 4 3/8" decrease some bass response compering this model with normal 414ce that has 4 5/8" depth. Rich melow sound crispy in the mids and treble and limited lows (bass).Very good sustain in solos.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action was perfect with the setup I asked from the shop I bought the guitar.The top pieces and back are not perfectly matched.The construction from any other point of view is perfect.
Reliability/Durability

I have it only a month so each to early to talk about durability.
The Expression System is fantastic, the machineheads are very stable.
The only think I notice some sensitivity in dry weather (<30 humidity) even inside the taylor hardcase.

I'm playing for 15years and I have also a Martin HD28, a Larrivee OM10E Deluxe and a Gibson The Paul (No Les Paul, The Paul). I live in Greece. Taylor has better playability and feel than Larrivee and Martin,better sustain and crispy sound.Larrivee has better intonation and bass but less bass than Martin because Martin is a Dr.
Up to now is my best guitar for the colours of sound it produces and makes very happy.
