Korean made dreadnought, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard. Mahogany back (with nice inlay in the middle) and sides. Non-branded tuners, but keep the guitar in tune very well. Can't tell where the top (2 pieces) is made off. Seems to be spruce. I brought the guitar in 1991. Had no accessories and no electronics.

What I remember from 15 years ago was that my budget was around 150 euro. I played a number of guitars including Fenders and Yamahas which were above my budget anyway. This guitar won in one directory, the tone. It might not be the most gorgeous looking guitar and it doesn't play as nice as a Yamaha, which was 3 times more expensive, but this one delivered the most beautifull acoustic sound and pretty load compared to the other ones. Playability of the neck is o.k. I got used to it, but I feel that the string tension is higher than on other acoustic guitars I have played. When playing with friends, who have Epiphones, and other low budget guitars, this one wins hands one in with its tone and loudness.

Pretty good factory set-up. But recently I adjusted the trust-rod to get a lower action and to prevent the fret-buzz, i increased the saddle by a mm or so. Guitar finish is a thin, transparent, low gloss one. I think this contributes heavily to its tone character. The downside of the thin finish is that it is sensitive for dents. Top is nicely bookmatched, you can hardly see the line. After 15 years I can say that the tuning pegs, nut, saddle are still o.k. I only have some fretts (15th and 16th) which are coming out on the low E string side. But this never bothers me, since I never play on that spot.

Never played live with it. Only rehearsals, friend gatherings, beach evenings and the majority of it at was at home. It will survive another 15 years I am sure of that.

I am playing about 20 years, mainly electrics. A good guitar, but I wish I brought the electro/acoustic version, since it would get more playing with my band. Rating is done in view of its price. Remember that this is a budget guitar, but given that, Vantage has done a great job in terms of sound and durability.
