Made in 2005
Fishman Classic Four Pick up
This is the New Cut away model

Sound : 9
The sound is great for a cutaway accoustically
Plug in the sound is really outstanding.
I have only tried light and mixture light med strings

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The action was OK from the factory
I adjusted it myself (bridge, nut and rod) and now the action is amazing, this guitar will make me lazy the action is so nice.
The finish is really beautiful. Before I took out the nut it was sperated slighty from the neck. I believe it was really only cosmetic.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I feel like this guitar will hold up.
I have only had it a couple of months.
The fishman pickups are really solid.

Customer Support : 10
Actually this guitar was a replacement for an ealrier model I sent back. The customer support I recieved was outstanding and they really did take care of me when the last guitar I had of there had some minor problems ie pick gaurd coming off, gold coming off tuners and finish not even. When I told them this they had me send the guitar in postage paid and sent me this new one which is newer and nicer.

I have been playing for 12 years. For the price this is an excellent choice. Better than any Dean, seagull, larivee, or samik I have played at this price. This sounded and felt better. My brother has a 2000 dollar martin We have done many comparrisons and agree this guitar could be worth a whole bunch more money!

The Guitar is light, which I like. Feel is great and

Sound : 9

the sound is good, however obviously not the same as a solid wood guitar, but still for the price, this axe sounds great.

Has a bright tone, which will probably mellow with age.
This guitar has all the features I wanted, at a great price.
Although I wanted a total solid guitar...$$$

The pick guard is half coming off the guitar as the glue is not sticking very well, but it doesn't bother me...I think it's kinda cool.

When I recieved it, when playing on the 12th fret, buzzing produced, and muted when bending the string. Brought it back to the store for a free setup and recieved back fixed up.

Finish is beautiful.

Seems very well built.
The gold h/w tuners are very smooth.

Customer Support : 9
I emailed concerning the truss rod and they emailed me back in about a week.

Been playing since '87.

I really love playing this guitar. I love the feel, and the lightness of it. I really like the feel of it and neck is very nice to play. plastic bindings.

I researched getting an acoustic for a long time, and was looking at a Takamine with the same features, priced at 800.00.
For less then half the money, I have a guitar which played next to the Takamine, would be pressed to hear a difference, although the Takamine seems heavier, so probably better built?

If stolen, I would probably upgrade to the 700 series, which has the solid back as well as top.

Noticed that the neck and head stock is not one complete piece.

Solid Englemann Top, lammed Rosewood back and sides that are bookmatched. Rosewood fretboard and bridge. This is a basic dreadnought with white binding and an abalone rosette. Nice appointmentes...gold Grover-like heads and basically D28 like appointments.

Sound : 10
This is where this guitar shines. I bought it to add to my meager little collection (Tacoma DM9 and an Ibanez Artwood 120)...guess what? The Ibanez was returned to the store from whence it came...and the Tacoma is being traded towards a vintage Guild. Why you might ask? Cos the Walden is one hell of a guitar. It has a great sustain and ring....and has a fairly good bottom end. More bottom than the Tacoma????!!!!! With Walden you get looks, good sound and a solid build. All at a very reasonable price. The feel is akin to a Taylor. It has that type of feel to it. Sounds very good when compared to any other brand...but again the price makes it a winning entry. I highly recommend Walden.
