My particular guitar is a D640TCP. I do not know when it was made. Made in PRC (China). Appears to be a solid spruce top with rosewood back and sides (my luthier friend says it's not laminated...) Satin finish. Gold Grover tuners. Butterbean knobs. Rosewood fretboard. Fishman Classic four electronics. Taylor case.

I bought this guitar because it sounded like a Taylor, Gibson, at half or third the price. I haven't bought an acoustic amp yet so I run it through my Fender Bassman 25 mostly. The Fishman electronics are great. I can shape the sound no matter what amp I'm running it through. It sounds excellent unplugged or plugged in.

This guitar was flawless in every way. I played several like models and they all played/sounded great. I purchased it in Seattle at Emerald City Guitars (absolutely THE coolest guitar shop on the planet) and I'm sure they set it up.

Appears to be a very solid, dependable guitar.

I've never had any reason to contact Walden or Emerald City as this guitar has had zero problems.

I have been playing for almost forty years (played Proud Mary, Louie Louie, and Little Black Egg for 6th grade talent show) but only seriously for the last ten or fifteen. I also own a Guild Songbird, Epiphone Les Paul Classic Quilt top, Fender P Bass, Rogue Violin Bass, Epiphone Classical, and a vintage archtop Silvertone acoustic.
If this Walden were lost or stolen I would probably try to find another one.I like the fact that it gives me the Taylor/Gibson/Guild sound for allot less money and it looks gorgeous to boot. I had looked at several acoustics that I thought were comparable (Fender, Dean, Alvarez, Ibanez, etc.) and the Walden sounded and played better, to my hands and ears.

This is a basic Martin look alike with a satin non gloss finish. I like it very much. Fishman electronics.

The sound is why I bought it. Sounds very much like a 1500$ martin at half the price.

Love the finish but had to have the neck straightened. Warranty covered it. A noticable bump near #12 fret. Now is very very staight. All else was premo.

Haven't had it long enough to say but "so far so good"

They fixed the neck in one day and did a great job, but that may be more the stores doing than the Walden company. At any rate I'm happy

I'm a rookie but I have 9 guitars and this one is up with my Gretsch accoustic. Just a different sound.

I have been playing guitar since the mid 60's. I own or have owned about every type of guitar that you can think of. I still have 9 electrics (Fenders, Gibson, etc) and a Jumbo body Guild and a classical. This is a great addition to my collection.
I bought this guitar for 3 reasons: 1 - it sounds great 2 - It plays fantastic...it's as easy as playing an electric 3 - the price.
I played alot of guitars in my life and have found this one of my best purchases. Everytime I see this guitar, I want to play it. It sounds great for every type of music I play and it will only get better with time. It plays wonderful and it's easy to play chords or lead riffs on it. It also looks like a guitar costing $1,000 or more.
IF you get a chance to play one of these Waldens you'll be pleasantly suprise. If it was lost or stolen, I would buy a new one of these in a heartbeat.
