This guitar sounds beautiful. In the store I fell in love with it after just a few minutes of playing and before I saw the price tag or where it says "made in China". After a few minutes of picking I reached the conclusion it wasn't even in my price range but to my surpise when looking at the tag it was! Sounds like a much higher end instrument. The guitar is quite resonant due to its completely solid wood construction. And the notes are bright but balanced and neither too tinny nor excesively bassy, but that is also because it had very good strings (D'addario EXPs).
There aren't any dead spots that I can find, but some of the higher registers do die out a little sooner than the lower ones. As for intonation I am very pleased as it is almost perfect across the entire neck, which is very rare for a guitar in this price range. As with most guitars, even the ones in the $1000 range, at the 7-9 frets does hit slightly off pitch-or maybe I just have an overly sensitive ear. The intonation also depends greatly on how hard the guitarist frets the notes.
Don't expect the booming sound of a dreadnought, this is a smaller auditorium body. But it is more than loud enough to fill a room.
Surprisingly dynamic also and responsive to soft and hard attack, so you can wisper like a kittycat or growl like a lion on this baby.
I had already decided to buy this honey before even plugging it in, but when I actually did...wow! The Fishman Prefix pro active pickup is wonderful. Has bass, treble, mids and brilliance controls along with phase control, volume and a notch switch. The result in plenty of sound control.
Amplified the guitar has virtually no buzz, as it also lacks just acoustic, although the action on mine is somewhat high, but that's how I like it. I gather that if you shave a bit off the bone bridge piece there wouldn't be any buzz either though.
It also stays in tune very well, through bends and dreaded temperature changes. In a word, sublime.

The action on mine when I bought it was very high and I have left it that way. With high action at least I have not even a tad bit of buzz, which to me is worth the extra muscle I have to put into my playing. The way I see it, you play just for the sound and if you're not willing to work for a good sound, don't play guitar.
But if you like electric guitar-style action, I suspect lowering the bridge (which was very high in mine out of the box) wouldn't hurt. They come that way from the factory for a reason.
As for the finish, it is virtually flawless. I really couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this darling was made in China. In total honesty I still can't find a flaw in the bookmatching or crafting of the solid cedar top, solid african mahogany sides and neck or dark rosewood fretboard. Impressive!
Ok, maybe the bridge is very, very slightly off, about a 1mm to be exact on the right side. But now I'm just nitpicking.
Did I mention that it is made of all solid woods and has a real bone nut and bridge piece? The frets are very well crafted and it really shows in the playing. The nitro cellulose satin finish is very nice, but may not be fancy enough for some.
I like it. It lets the natural wood grain shine through ungarnished, although you can't see your reflection in it.
Truly this guitar looks like a much more expensive instrument. Perhaps the only detail that gives away it isn't worth $1000 is that the tuning knobs are plastic made to look like wood. But who really cares?
As for comfort, it's perfect. The auditorium body is by far the most confortable, really close to a classical guitar. The cutaway is great too. Most guitars with a cutaway really only allow you to reach to about the 17th fret. Not this baby, you can reach the whole way down perfectly.
I can wail on this like an electric if I want. Jazz phrasing is very easy, even in spite of the high action.
A true pleasure to play. I can hardly bare to put it down and I'm sensing by girlfriend is getting jealous.

I really can't say since I've only had the instrument for about a month. The construction seems very good, all the bracings are precise and look made to last. The neck is reinforced by a standard truss rod and two graphite rails, so I'm not worried.
I did notice a very slight, almost unnoticeable hump forming near the bridge where the 6th fret is. I've seen this in plenty of steel string guitars and am not worried. But in all honesty I can't predict this won't turn into something in the future.
This is a problem with all steel string guitars due to their high-tension strings. The more you travel, change climates and expose the instrument to fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels, the more it is put to the test.
But after som 13 years of playing and having owned 16 guitars, both good and bad ones, I am very confident this instrument will age well.

Haven't had any problems, so there has been no need yet. Knock on wood.

I've been playing for some 13 years and have owned electrics, acoustics and classicals ranging in quality from top-notch Gibsons to bottom-end Ibanez.
This is among the best guitars I've owned, regardless of where it was made or how much it cost.
At the store I compared it with Takamines, Washburns, Ibanez, Yamaha, everything in the price range really...and even a couple of $1000+ Taylors.
Compared to anything but the Taylors, this baby was in another league. It actually sounds and plays a lot like a Taylor. Like I said before: it's much more than just a $500 Chinese guitar.
If it were stolen I would replace it unless somebody would give me $1500 to buy a Taylor, Martin or Breedlove. And altough I love the little sweetheart, I won't give it a top score 10, because that score is only for Martins or Taylors. The top of the line. Nothing comes even close for under a grand, but this is by far the closest I've seen.
If there's such a thing as a bargain, this is it.
What are you waiting for? Buy it.

The Walden SupraNatura G1070 is made in China, and designed in the U.S. It is a Grand Auditorium body with Solid Western Red Cedar top solid African Mahogany back, African mahogany sides and neck (which is nice and thin). Came with a hardshell case.

I play mostly acoustic music (bluegrass, folky stuff, etc) and the sound does not disappoint. I purchased this guitar as a backup/alternative to my Alvarez Yairi DY52 which is showing some adverse signs of aging. It projects at least as well if not better and has a reasonably full and bright sound. I'm sure that when it comes to it, this guitar will hold up well in whatever genre I may play in.

Nineveh did a great job setting up this guitar. Action is nice and low, but not buzzing on the fretboard. Can't find any glaring cosmetic flaws (or any at all, to be competely honest)

Seems like it would hold up just fine, but I haven't put it to the test yet. Construction definately seems solid so far.

Nineveh was great to buy from. All guitars are tested and set up individually to meet his standards. Nicely done!
