2005, Made in China, 20 Frets, Grand Auditorium model. Solid Sitka Spruce Top, Sapele Mahogony back and sides, African Mahogony neck, Indian rosewood fretboard and bridge, Abalone rosette, Pearl Walden logo on headstock, Die cast gold tuners, satin nitrocellulose finish, Scalloped X bracing, Hardshell case included with purchase.
Got the guitar for cheaper than they sell due to a consignment deal I workded out with a guitar I sold. Paid $250, normally runs $329-$359 street price.

Sounds very nice for a sub $500 guitar. Tone is kind of Martin'esque although not quite as good but much, much cheaper. Very happy with the sound and when mic'ed it records wonderfully. For the tone to price ratio I'll give it a 10 although it's by no means a $4,000 guitar 10. I'd think you'd have a hard time finding a better sounding guitar for the price. The other Walden models I tried sounded fantastic as well but I like the body style and sound of this one more.

Set up was high for my taste but using a standard hex wrench I dropped it where I like it. Adjusted very easily and neck is comfortable to play. Slight glob of glue showing on a section of the neck binding but what do you expect for a Chinese made guitar? Finish looks flawless otherwise. Workmanship inside the guitar itself is very clean and looks professional. I like the finish on this guitar. It allows better resonance in the top and gets better with age..so they say.

Looks like it will hold up. Feels fairly solid. I'm not expecting the top to buckle or warp anyway. Finish is prone to degradation when in contact with rubber. I'll just keep it in it's case and not on a stand.

Been playing about 25 years. Had a lot of gear come and go through the years. I won't bother listing them. If lost or stolen I'd consider another one or shop around for something else. Very good tone for the price. I have to say the quality of (some)low end guitars just keeps getting better and better.
