Mine is a model made here in the USA, I think they make a lot of them in Asia now. Mine must be rare because I don't see this model anymore. Abalone rosette. Nice wiggly maple bindings. Standard Gloss top on a grand auditorium shaped guitar. Tuners look like grover, but I'm not sure. They sure do stay in tune though. Medium size neck and very comfortable to play. All solid woods - Spruce top and rosewood sides and back. No pickup or electronics. Pretty sure its a rosewood fretboard, whatever it is, it's nice and smooth. I think this model was made when Wechter was just sarting out. so I think they put everything into it quality wise.

GREAT guitar for finger styles, not as loud as a dread, but I bought it for is sweet sound. I mainly play folk and ragtime and rarely need to beat out heavy chords..Mind you, you can get the volume up on this thing if you play it hard It has a great amount of bass for a smaller guitar. I was quite surpised when I first played it. I might put a pickup in it one day, but am happy with it at the moment.
I like the fact that it is a little bit smaller. It seems to fit more comfortabley on my lap.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Apparently Wechter guitars are run through the plek machine before sending them out. My action is perfect. Nice and low. Couple of finish bubbles on the bottom, but there too small to notice straight away.
Easliy adjustable neck and it comes with bridge raisers too.
Reliability/Durability

The gloss finish on this guitar tells me that this thing will last a lifetime (as long as I don;t use it as an anti-theft device!) Solidly built. Nice big neck block. Who can afford a backup?? This is my one and only and entirely dependable. Rear strap button came with an output jack already installed but no pickup? Weird...

BEen playing 27 years and this is one great guitar. I doubt I could find another like this ine if it was lost/stolen so I'd have to go for something else. I could go for a Chinese one, but so far I haven't found anything Chinese that has blown me away..
If you find one of these...buy it!!! You won't regret it.
