I play all kinds of oldies rock, folk, some country, blues, jazz. This is my first 12 string. It is rather bright unplugged. Doesn't have the booming volume of my FG series dreadnought, but it's a small bodied thinline. Plugged in, it sings!!

I don't gig, but I wouldn't bring a second 12 string. Backup 6 string, yes. I own 2 Yamaha Acoustics and they are top notch. Tuners and strap buttons are solid.

I've been playing 45 years. Have a Warmoth Strat, and some cheap electrics that will be modded. Have a Yamaha FG735 Acoustic and a 1976 Ovation. I would like to buy the 6 string version of this guitar. The quality is amazing, even at 3 times the price. This guitar sells for $549.99 EVERYWHERE!! Mine was new, out of box, on E-Bay and I got it for $227.50
