Features : 7
* Finish - Glossy
* Body style (dreadnought w/ cutaway
* Tuners - stock
* Neck/Scale - Rosewood, 20 frets
* Any included accessories? None
* What year was it made? 2007 Where was is made? Japan
* How many frets? 20
* Solid or laminated top? Solid
* Built-in electronics? What type of pickup system? Yes
* Onboard tuner? Yes

One HUGELY annoying feature is the lack of a strap button near the neck. The guitar requires a string tied on to the head which is utterly ridiculous. I demoed the guitar sitting down and never thought to look for the front strap button until I got home. I am lowering my score a full point because this lack of forethought by Yahama kills me.
* Onboard EQ? Yes
* Body and neck woods? (Maple with Rosewood back and sides)

Sound : 8
* How does it suit your music style (and what is that style)? The sytle fits my perfectly. I play a lot of Alt. Rock

* Rich/full sound? Bright sound? Fuller than you'd think for a $500 guitar. Really this guitar sounds really, really good.

* What kind of sounds can the guitar make? How much variety?

* Likes and dislikes? - Factory strings are too heavy

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
* How well was the guitar set-up at the factory? (How was the action?) The action is high and needs to be addresses by a trained luthier. The strings are ridiculously high as you progress past frets 12. Will take care of that soon.

* Properly bookmatched top? Properly routed bridge? Fine

* Did the guitar contain any flaws? (misaligned bracing, poorly filed fretwire, finish flaws, poor quality wood, rusted or oxidized hardware, loose tuning pegs, poorly cut nut, poorly fit saddle, loose controls, etc...)

None whatsoever.

Reliability/Durability : 8
It's an acoustic guitar so I won't be throwing it around.

I was impressed by the rear strap button. Like most acoustic/electrics, this is also where you plug it into the amp. It's very solid.

Customer Support : No Opinion
NA

Overall Rating : 8
* How long have you been playing? About 1 year.

What other gear do you own? A Roland micro-cube
* Is there something you wish you had asked before buying this guitar? That front strap button....
* If it were stolen or lost, would you buy it again or get something else?
* What do you love about it? What do you hate? What is your favorite feature?
* Did you compare it to other guitars? Which ones? Why did you choose this one? Yes, I compared it with every model Guitar Center had in stock in a similar price range. It was the best sounding guitar (for my tastes) in the place.
* Anything you wish it had? A freaking button strap....!
* Anything else you"d like to share?
