The best sounding guitar that I have heard in a very, very long time.
Rich/full sound. Like very much no dislikes at all.

No flaws what so ever. Looks like a $3000 guitar and sounds even better.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar should last a lifetime. It would do any kind of music that you would want to do on it. Very dependable.

This guitar came with a full 100% money back guaranteed if not satisfied for any reason. Also come with a lifetime warranty. The company is very helpful, very professional and extremely good on their word. It was very nice to do business with such professionals and will do business again in the future.

Consider myself a beginner. Used to own a Yamaha guitar, but not near the quality of this one. Yes I would buy another one. I love everything about this guitar especially the quality of the workmanship. The sound is just what I was looking for. Don't hate anything about this guitar. Favorite feature, very easy to play.

I have found this guitar to be great for both folk and rock. It has a full sound with bright upper register. I read another review about buzzing strings... If played properly i.e. holding string down near fret, I have experienced no buzzing while playing. If fooling around and playing sloppily (fingers not near the fret), I can get the strings to buzz - but this is user error, not a fault of the guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I think that this is a true strong point for my Zager. It is a beautifully finished, well-made guitar - especially for the price. It is not a $100. cheapey, but at around $550. (with 10% eBay/PayPal discount) it is an exquisite guitar with obviously excellent quality control: aligned bracing, hand-filed fretwires, perfectly cut nut, Grover tuning pegs, snugly fit saddle. The guitar came well-packed and was in tune ready for play as soon as it came via UPS.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I've only had the guitar a couple of weeks, but I'm sure it will hold up for the long haul and just continue to get better with age. The finish is impeccable and appears to be quite thick. My only negative is that I wish it had the second strap button near the headstock. Although Denny has on online video on how to add this second button, I would have really liked it to already be on the guitar. The lower body strap button is well-placed so I can still get a strap that wraps around the headstock and live with it as is.

I have emailed the company and got a response from one of the principals in the company (Dennis, Jr.)within one hour. That is customer service! It has a 100% money back guarantee and a lifetime warranty. I think that this is one of the reasons it gets so many glowing reviews. The company is very proud of their product and willing to stand behind it. I know that most music stores would not be happy to return a customer's money, yet Zager's almost dares you to get one of their guitars and not like it. They have a great product and know it. Additionally, the company has several online help videos. I've watched a few and they've been helpful: how to use the tuner, properly replacing strings, etc.

I have been playing on and off since high school (forty years), but not so much lately until I got this guitar. This is my replacement for a 1970 Yamaha FG-150 Red Label that I gave to a good friend. I have no regrets. The Yamaha was good, but I LOVE this guitar. It is beautiful, has the convenience of the onboard tuner, feels good in the hand and the lower strings help reduce playing fatigue (I have the beginnings of arthritis and I am able to play for a couple of hours at a time).
I looked at many guitars at local music stores. I wasn't impressed with most of them, unless they cost $3500. or more. This was a good compromise on price, but not on quality. Sure, I'd like to have a Martin someday, but I think that this will be my "essential" guitar for years to come.
If it were stolen, I would buy the exact same guitar. Unfortunately, I understand that Denny is retiring this year...so I don't know if I'd be able to replace it at a later date.
