To me, sounds like a $600.00 guitar should, I mean it doesnt sound to bad for its price range. It is not a guitar you can really get down on, i mean if you are heavy handed, it seems to lose its tone somewhat. Really made for gentle play. I like a guitar that can do both and maintain its tone.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
This is where the buck stops! Action is way too high for finger picking, if you are a strummer then it is almost ok. They use extra light strings on these guitars and seems to me that the nut is rather high so your fingers kinda bounce around on the strings, the bridge looks to be plastic along with the saddle and nut. If you try to adjust the guitar to your playing style then you are really screwing up, it buzzes like crazy and there is nothing you can do but take it back up higher. Try playing a martin or a taylor then play this and you will see what I mean. Action is way too high!!

Reliability/Durability : 5
They do come with Grover tuners,a plus always,I guess you can use it live though i never have, cause the action is just too high for fingerpicking. I have only had it 3 months so I cant tell much about it except what i stated earlier. The finish along with the tuners seems to be another high point, very nice and glossy.

Customer Support : 1
This too is kinda shakey, they are very nice to you as long as you are nice to them and give their guitar praise, but if you have a problem or dont like the guitar they start a big sales pitch on you and send you already prepared emails which really never answer your questions or ease your concerns. I dont know how many times I have asked questions and got a pre-written email, i guess my concerns are pretty much popular if they had to resort to this. Their website says they will take it back if you are unhappy but they never offer to take it back in their emails, they try to give you advice on how to adjust it or fix the problems. It is mighty strange that you never see any complaints on Zager guitar, you see them on the top brands, Even Martins, but Zager has not one complaint. Is this guitar this perfect or what?

Overall Rating : 5
If I had it to do over again I would have not bought this guitar, its just not for me, I have 3 other guitars, a fender acoustic, a martin HD-28, and a washburn jumbo and they all play like a dream with no problems. Do yourself a favor and buy you a nice guitar, hell for what i paid for this thing i could have gotten a Taylor. Maybe I got a lemon and didnt get one of their better guitars. I am in the process now of dealing with Zager guitar but they are not real cooperative. So I will post what happens with them at a later date and see if they honor their money back guarantee.

I've been playing guitar for 45 years
I have a Fender P-bass, a Cordoba R40 Classical, an Epiphone Casino, and a Les Paul Standard
If lost or stolen, I would most definitely buy another Zager guitar
I love the tone and ease of playing. Also the finish is beautiful
My favorite feature is the tonal quality.
So far, this guitar is amazing.
Have compared it to Gibson's Hummingbird, and Gibson's J160. This guitar is as good as or better than both in my opinion.
I chose the Zager-50 mainly out of curiousity, and was blown away by the tonal quality.
For a dreadnought, this guitar has everything.

It suits my music style just fine, I enjoy quite a variety of music, Johnny Cash, Electric Light Orchestra, Uriah Heep, John Hiatt, Black Sabbath... (I know I am dating myself here). The guitar itself has a Rich/Full sound and I am quite impressed. I do plan on getting a Fender G-DEC 30 to help me along.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar came fully tuned and the quality is excellent.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I haven't owned it long, but it seems like it will last a long time.

I am 51 years old and as of recently wanted to learn how to play the guitar. I went ahead and purchased an Ibanez AW12 Dreadnought and the LEGACY Couse "Learn and Master Guitar" by Steve Krenz (I am really impressed with that course). The first thing I found out was that because I have small hands I had trouble hitting some notes on the fretboard. I started to get a little discouraged and started looking for a solution. I read about Zager EZ Play guitars on the forum that was provided by the Legacy guitar course so I went to the web site and I saw a gleam of hope....guitars designed to work well for people with small hands. I did some research on Zager Guitars and was quite impressed....I could not find any bad reviews. With the lifetime warranty, return policy, and price I could not go wrong. The first thing that impressed me was that I e-mailed a question to zagerguitars.com and I received a reply in 15 minutes........that was excellent. A little later I e-mailed another question and received a reply less than a half hour. A few minutes later I ordered the guitar and it arrived inless than 4 days. Zager guitars is a family business and you can really tell that they want you to be happy with your purchase. I feel very comfortable with my purchase

Overall Rating : 10
A beautiful quality guitar at an affordable price.
I am just beginning to learn how to play and was very pleased to find Zagerguitars.com. On there website I could look at multiple pictures of each guitar they offer...outstanding. The only thing that I wish mine came with was 2 strap pegs (they purposely install only one). I called a local guitar shop and they can install an additional strap peg and it would only cost a couple of bucks...and they could take care of it while I wait. I checked with Zeger and having a strap peg added would not void the warranty....so it is a non-issue. If I lost this guitar I would definitely buy another one. If I find out that I really don't have the talent to play well, the thing is so darn pretty I will keep it just so I can show it off.

Built in Electronics.

Sound : 10
Beautiful guitar. Nicer than I expected. Plays beautifully and has built in electronics with a built in Tuner. Setup to work even better with a capo. I previously was playing a more expensive Takamine Acoustic/Electric and this one has better sound both acoustically and electronically. Much better action, even though I have taken mine to one of Nashville's finest luthier's twice.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Setup just like promised by the company. Great Action and EZ to play.
Flawless.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I see no reason why this guitar will not last me for my lifetime.

Customer Support : 10
Awesome customer service through the whole process.

Overall Rating : 10
Playing for 40 years. I've owned probably 10 guitars. Still own a Takamine, Ovation, and a Fender Tele. I would buy another Zager if I lost this one.
