Hello,
I picked up a used Acoustic Control Corporation 361PP. It is in great shape for a 40 year old cabinet. It is missing the power amp.
Originally this was the world's first "powered" subwoofer although it has a full range Cerwin-Vega 18" speaker. So I just use it along with my other Acoustic Control Corporation 301 cabinets and my 370 amplifiers. It is somewhat "brighter" than my 301HB and 301HC cabinets. Seems louder too. So it's an unpowered cabinet now. Sounds fantastic as all Acoustic "W" bins do..and believe it or not it is a quick responding cabinet. Loud, yep.

As stated above it is loud, clear and very bright for a "W" bin.
I play in a power trio, originals. Hard rock-fusion. It projects bass fundamentals the way they should be transmitted. JPJ, Jaco, Greg Riddley, Larry Graham. This is not a cabinet for the faint-hearted Boutique amp buying Saab Driving crowd. Not a Bergantino or a Magnavox. The Acoustic Control Corporation "W" bins have no rivals.
BTW I use Fender basses strung with Rotosound RS66LD round wounds. there are harmonics when plucked that only an ACC W bin with the issued MF-188 or MF-187 speaker will reproduce. Gee wally why'd Jaco use this overweight, underpowered dinosaur?? answer...the tone!

40 years old. Do you think for a New York second that an MDF, condom thick tolex covered Magnavox Fridge will be around in 40 years? well do ya punk? Have another Snapple buddy. Them worthless pros all used this. Guess they shoulda bought boxes of 10" speakers??

bought it with the 360 preamp, the fuzz doesnt work, but i bet its an easy fix. all in all, one of the nicest (and loudest) bass amps I have played.
