mid 60s ampeg svt was my firstI had several more , great amp for tone but tend to break down alot, fortunatley i had a good tech, kurt abertteli, I ran in the main channel with the bass at almost full mid at 12 with800hz and hi brite at 3 oclock.

sound is fantastic but whitout alot of variations from the over all tone, i blew alot of speakers with um over the years.

not very depedable, weight was hal the problem , they would be put down hard by crew.

been playing tube amps for 30 years, i dont have a big classic anymore but i do use an ampeg SVPRO tube preamp with a mesa boogie 200 stereo power amp, I can chage amps for different sounds, carver, crown, bgw all sound a little different but all good

This amp was made in 1984. Beautiful peice of equipment. All the feature you would ever want. 70 watts a 8 ohms 120 i think at 4 ohms. the most verstile amp Bass combo i have ever seen. Big enough to rock the casbah and small enough to carry 3 blocks to the local bar on open jam night. actually I have been looking everywhere on the web for a review on this amp and I cant find one so i figured i would give it a shout out. oh and i love the dc jack on the back.. makes it even more enjoyable with my Zoom 505.

I play a Samick P650 my true love. This amp make the P funk i crave or make some adjustment and I can pound ot some rock riffs. I love this amp and e-bay for making it possible. Much love ^ band eq from Ultra low To Ultra high. with 2 mid shifts. All the ins and out and effects loops jacks so sound variations is unlimited.

Never a problem.. the the gain and main limiters will keep you in check.

From country to metal.. this amp is the shit... I play a mix of funkbluesrockjamgrundgepop.. and it suits me just fine.
