This is a small, but powerful bass cab with a single 10" woofer, a 6" mid and two tweeters. It weighs in at a scant 29 Lbs. because of the neo drivers. It is only available in 8 ohms, and it is rated at 300 watts RMS. There are two speakon plugs that also will accept a 1/4" jack. There are two recessed handles on the sides of the cab, but in my opinion it would be easier to carry from a top mounted handle. (I mounted a strap type handle on top of mine) The cabinet is very sturdy despite it's light weight. The speakers are very well protected by a heavy metal mesh grill. Black carpet covers the box with protective corners. As for it's appearance; I think it looks much nicer "in person" than any of the pictures I have seen on line.

Sound Quality : 10
As the company's name suggests, their speakers are designed to deliver a clear and accurate reproduction of your bass. This particular cab is the smallest one they make, and yet it is still rated at 300 watts RMS. What does that really mean?? I think that as long as one is realistic about how much bottom you should expect from a single 10" speaker, it will handle the rated power. If one boosts the low end way up, maybe not. I think it's fair to say that if you give the cab undistorted, unclipped sound, and with out a tremendous boost to the low frequencies, it will perform as rated. If you cause the woofer to travel beyond it's safe excursion by boosting the low frequencies too much, no doubt there's going to be trouble. Likewise an underpowered amp can distort and harm the drivers. I have all sorts of bass gear, and I believe in using the right tool for the job. So is it just for acoustic upright bass? No. Just for quiet dinner music? No. I have played with a guitar, bass, and drums, trio at a moderately loud volume, and been extremely pleased. (If not, I wouldn't have gone to the trouble to write this review.) This cab, especially with the right head, makes my basses sound as good as they can.(EA Iamp 500) I only wish it were as easy to get such a great sound from my bigger louder gear. (It actually is with my Whappo Jr)I can't wait to record with it. I'm giving the sound rating a 10, but remember that you must take into account the size, and best use for the cab.

Reliability : 10
I have only had my Tri 110 for a couple of months now, but have used it on many gigs already. I know this cab is built to give many years of use if cared for appropriately. It is so well engineered, and solidly built. I doubt there will ever be a problem with it, as long as it isn't abused for some unknown reason. I really like the fact that the protection for the tweeters will reset if you happen to trip the protective circuit. I have yet to have that happen. I have owned other equipment (SWR) with the light bulbs that you have to replace. (like a fuse) That's one less thing to worry about when you are out playing somewhere.

Customer Support : 10
I haven't had the pleasure this time, but when I made a previous AccuGroove purchase (Whappo Jr) I called them to order a cover, and the owner himself, Mark, answered the phone. He was not in a hurry when I spoke with him. He seemed genuinely interested in my comments. (Regarding that other purchase.) Having such a great response from the owner of the company, personally, makes me feel that if ever there were an issue to develop, there would be great follow up service. This kind of customer service was indicated in other reviews I read before buying any of their products. And so my experience was at that level as well. I have to say that it was a contributing factor in deciding to buy another Accugroove product, this time.

Overall Rating : 9
You may have noticed that Accugroove products are not exactly a bargain. I would have to say that, if I weren't so obsessed with achieving a great tone, I probably would have settled for something lesser. There are lots of other brands of great bass gear. And out of the other great ones, they aren't cheap either. I consider myself fortunate to have tried AccuGroove for myself. So, I'm not saying that there isn't something as good; I haven't tried them all. My take on it is that the AccuGroove sound IS worth what you pay. And if you use your gear appropriately, you'll sound great for a long time.
