Features : 10
Made in 2005, this cabinet is rather large for a 2x10" format. Saying that, Accugroove's layout features two 10" speakers, an 8" midrange woofer, and two bullet style tweeters. Each of the 10" speakers, the 8" midrange woofer, and the two bullet tweeters, are housed in seperately ported compartments within the cabinet.

Even with all this extra wood for porting, the weight is still only 57lbs, so is easily transported using the side handles and floor casters.

The rear input panel features standard 1/4" and Speakon connections, with the midrange and tweeter sections being controlled by volume pots Tthe most recent versions of this cabinet have foregone these as 99.99% of users (myself included), keep the cab "flat out" and use the bass and amp to adjust the sound.
The cabinet also has a switch which alters the impedence of the cabinet from 4 to 8 ohms so you can match it correctly with your amplifier output.
The cabinet is rated at 650w handling. I use it to reproduce the sound created by my Aguilar DB680 preamp via a Chevin 1,200w power amp (600w per channel)

Incredibly robust and easily portable cabinet

Sound Quality : 10
The cabinet has been engineered to produce a very "flat" sound in that it covers all the frequencies thrown it's way by the amplifier without colouring the sound further.

I have used the cabinet for rock gigs, jazz, gospel and pop gigs and it has simply given me the sound without any complaints. In other words, it simply does everything asled of it, and I have never had to think about it - just as it should be for a speaker cabinet.

The only time I have had pause to consider the cabinet in a live setting is follwing a compliment from an audience or band member, or sound engineer commenting on the sound I have achieved - very nice to hear!!

Reliability : 10
I have only had this amp about 6 months, but in that time it ha been gigged extensively. During all it's use, I have not experience a single problem with the cabinet - I have nothing but praise for these units.

Customer Support : 10
I corresponded directly with Accugroove via e-mail prior to choosing to buy the cabinets, and they were absolutely fabu;ous. Extremely helpful and honest in all their comments.

Highly recommended

Overall Rating : 10
I have played bass guitar for over 25 years (WHAT??!!! Where has the time gone??) and have had many rigs including Trace Elliot, David Eden, Ampeg, Fender Custom Shop all-valve rig, etc. I have to say that the Tri210L is the best sounding cabinet I have EVER had the pleasure to use.

Just need to try out the El Whappo Jnr. next!!
