Lots of features, versatile 6 band eq that actually works, and the notch control is defeatable, unlike the B200. Gain can be driven to give a driven SVT style sound, one of the main reasons I bought thos as a 2nd/backup head. PLENTY of power, more power than my main trusty high end head, but for alot less money. I have mostly used this amp for rehearsals, leaving it in the studio and bringing my SWR to the gig, but recently I started bringing it out, and may give the SWR a break for a while.

Sound Quality : 9
With a Jazz bass or P bass, turning the gain up and slamming the 800hz gives a smooth SVT type overdrive. Running it cleaner and keeping the mids low, the 40 and 120hz can be boosted for a reggae tone, and it scoops out well if you want to dial in a slap tone.

I have only tried the acoustic cabs at GC, I have various SWR and EDEN cabinets that I use this with.

Reliability : No Opinion
Other than having a bad volume pot (would get quiet at 10'oclock and then blast back up at 12 o'clock), which was no longer my problem because GC switched it out (initial defect), the 2nd unit has never had a problem. I havent gigged it extensively and beat it up like I have with my SWR that I have had for over 10 years, so it is too early to tell.

Customer Support : No Opinion
just GC, thats all I can say... they usually take things back if there is a problem.

Overall Rating : 10
been playing almost 20 years, and seriously a s abass player in bands for the last 10 years (did guitar first). I own the SWR Bass350 redface, workingman's 10 combo, goliath III, Son Of Bertha, Goliath JR II, and Eden D410XLT and D210XLT, USA Jazz and Precision, Geddy Lee Jazz, Warwick FNA and FNA5, Squier HM 5 string P-J (holy crap my cheapest bass is now my main one in metal band!) and an olp Stingray. If it were stolen I would replace it. When the band gets a little farther along, I would get an endorsement if I could, I think it is an incredible value, and would recomend this to anyone. The negative reviews boggle me, but maybe there are bad units that slipped through QC. I compared it to GK backline and goldine amps, and liked the acoustic better, but what sealed the deal was the profit margin was so high, that I was able to get a better "bro deal" on this compared to the GKs as well, my drummer was working at the GC at the time I got this in Nov 08.

www.myspace.com/sorizon I actually recorded most of our album (all but 2 songs that were just direct) with this head driving my goliath III (swr 4x10) into a sennheiser 441 to push the lows. Highs were taken from the WM10 with boss overdrive, but then later substituted for an amp simulator plugin in protools. The phat lows still come from the amp, and the 2 songs that were purely direct plus the plugin, did come out not as punchy as the rest.

Basic features. Really dinky. Cheap

Sound Quality : 2
Really blah. Nothing classic sounding about this amp.

Reliability : 1
Had 2 rehearsals and 1 show. 2nd to last song of the show, the amp went out. There was a call for encore. It was Austin, TX. Thanks GC!

Took it right back to GC

Horrible cheap foreign made hunk of junk that sounds dinky.

Pretty straight forward, simple controls. Easily as loud as my SVT Classic. I plugged it into my Ampeg 8x10 with minimal tone adjustment and it sounded awesome. I play loud, experimental, psych, dance punk sort of stuff right now. It is not meant to be played at low volume.

Sound Quality : 9
I use my P Bass and Sans amp, among a few other less used pedals, and its sounds great. A little noisey, but it's expected and worth it considering the high volume I play at.

Just got it.

I've been playing for 13 years and have owned GK, Ampeg, Peavey and Eden bass heads. I've never been so stoked on a bass head after the first time using it, and considering the price it blows my mind even more. If the thing holds up for at least 3 years I would say it was well worth it. Time will tell.

B600H - 600w at 2-ohms, 6-Band EQ single channel bass amp, effects loop with wet/dry balance knob, Direct Out w/level control.

Sound Quality : 10
I had heard of the early Acoustic stuff (360's, etc)& knew that Zeppelin's John Paul Jones, Jaco, many many Motown guys, etc., were big fans/users of the Acoustic brand, so when I heard that the Acoustic brand was back on the market, of course I was immediately interested.

Tried a B200 combo amp and I was stunned at the amazing volume that the thing pumped out. It put my 1600w rack-mount power amp to shame - no kidding. To say this thing pack old-school wallop is the understatement of the year. Did I mention it was LOUD?! Anyway - loud doesn't count for much if the TONE isn't there as well. And oh baby, the tone is there! Anyway, after being utterly floored by just the 200w combo amp (in my opinion, loud enough for most indoor gigs by itself), I had to try out the B600H (3x times the power of the amazingly loud B200H). This thing can drive 2 810 cabs without breaking a sweat. I have no need for an 810 cab at this point, but I did pick up the Acoustic B115 bass cab (one 15" speaker w/tweeter) to go along with the B600H. I've never been happier with my tone - I can cop motown & killer aggressive 70's rock tones up through modern bass tones excellent for funk & slap styles, there's not much you can't do with the variety of tones this bass head can achieve. I also run a SansAmp VT Bass Pedal along with the head for even more variety of tones - amazing.

Note: The reviewer who said the B600H & Acoustic 810 cab wasn't loud has obviously got major issues, mostly with GC I'd imagine. That statement is ridiculous & absurd. I would take anyone .5 seconds to figure out otherwise just by playing that setup. That combo is brutally loud.

Don't know - too early to tell.

Been playing 25 years - played a ton of different brands of bass amps. Gotta honestly say - this feels & sounds like nothing I've tried before (and I mean that in the BEST sense). Worth having trying this stuff out. This is incredible gear at a mere fraction of Ampeg or similar brands on the market. An INCREDIBLE value to bass players out there, Thank You Acoustic - it's been too long & I'm glad you're back!

I saw that Git-cent has the B600H/B810 in the catalog.
I gave it an honest review as I did play through it and was totally DISAPPOINTED by the cheap casters, poor tolex fit, blue stripe was Antacid pale green. Amp "hangs" over back of cabinet, indication of POOR engineering. The deal breaker was I played through it with volume set full and it was not very loud. Conclusion: cheap, hastily made, ain't gonna buy it that's for sure. Sadly the Git-Center Brain-cleansing cheer leaders actually convince losers to buy this crap. And they speak highly of it on our beloved ACC forum. Just my opinion. A footnote here: I actually own 2 370's, 2 301's(an HB and an HC), a 450, a 140 and 2 406(a wide and a narrow)but know absolutely nothing about music, electronics or anything else for that matter, live with my parents also. Feel free to attack me. If you have the need I will supply my home address so you can throw a Molotov cocktail through my window. I also borrow my parents Toyota Papyrus to transport my gear. I always let my vehicle size determine my equipment choices. BTW what's sarcasm? Acoustic club #72, the Tooz's number
Peace and Happiness to all.
