I think mine was made in 1987. What can I say, it's my second Acoustic bass amp. I have a guitar amp as well. Either you like the Acoustic sound or you don't, I do. It is extremely powerful for 120 watts, though Acoustic is known for that. It pumps an SVT cabinet (older) 240 watts?? It is extremely versatile, and if you know the history of the company, the guy in Santana at Woodstock was playing them, Jaco played them, Sid Vicious played them. They do it all because they are so loud and clean and they have great EQs. Mine has a 5 band, which I don't use. It also has a built in limiter and a bright switch. I give it a nine, because I would like a bit more power.

I use a PJ with Seymour Duncan Basslines quarter pound P and Vintage humbucking J. Versatile bass, versatile amp, suits virtually any style. It is not noisy, bright switch is noisier. I play primarily blues and rock, but really everything. Acoustic = loud and clean.

I don't know, Acoustics rarely fail. I've never known anyone who's had a problem with one either.

I've been playing bass for 25 years. If it were lost, I wouldn't be able to find another one. They are really hard to find. I absolutely cherish this amplifier. It sounds good through many different cabinets from SVT to a little Acoustic 1-12 PA speaker with an aluminum horn I use for practice and small gigs.
