Amp was made in the mid-late 80's. I play mainly punk and post-hardcore music and this amp gets the job done alright(with a little help from my pre-amp).
Two inputs, high and low. no effects loop or tuner input. It does have a bi amp feature witch is pretty cool but i don't use it.Also has a limiter/compressor witch would be nice if it worked.
320 watts at 4ohm's, 175 at 8ohms. I use this with a Madison 4x10 and i get plenty of thump. It has stereo speaker outputs also.
Also has a graphic eq.

As i said i play mainly hardcore and punk rock. It has also been used for some grunge and sounded great.
I never use this without my Behringer V-amp pro, without a pre-amp it gets a little weak sounding, but with the pre-amp set to model an Ampeg SVT this thing kills.
Very silent amp, and never distorts on me, overall the sound is very nice in the bass and mids but the highs need a little help from the eq, witch can be a little tricky to get just right.

I got this amp used on eBay and it has some problems. The amp doesn't get any volume unless the limiter is turned off and the master volume is at max, meaning that i have to control the volume with the gain knob.
It never broke down at a gig and I've done a few with this one.
It seems reliable, i'm going to get the amp serviced then post a new review telling if it made any improvements witch it most certainly will.

I've been playing for about 4 years. I've played an Ampeg svt-3pro and this amp can hold its own with a little help from the preamp.
If it were stolen or lost i think i'd just go for an all tube amp, even if i wanted to get another one of these it would be quite difficult to locate.
IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE TO GET THE OWNER'S MANUAL PLEASE EMAIL ME!!!

This amp was made in/around the Jaco era, for a general idea of when it came out. It is a very versatile amp, I get anything from a good classic rock sound to the Iron Maiden metal sounds, and if I screw around enough even Fieldy's sound is easily achieved.

I use a Peavey Koa RSB, dual humbucker active bass. Currently this bass played through this amp is perfect for my nu-metal/punk/hard rock band. It served me well though in a Jazz and classic rock band too. The amp itself is a tad noisty, but what can you expect from a 35 year old, right? It has that classic Acoustic tone, growl, and bite, which alot of players seek. I'd buy one before a tube Ampeg even...it never even distorts unless you want it to, with high gain settings.

This amp is 100% reliable, there's only been one single fix on it over two owners, myself and a teacher I know (and that was just a broken wire that broke at the solder end). It has never broke down at a gig or anything like that at all.

I've been playing for 8 years now, and have owned many amps (mostly combos) and such, and found I keep going back to this head with a 2x15 cab. If it were ever stolen or lost I would buy another one as soon as I found it, these things are getting rare though. I love everything about this amp, and hate nothing, except for the fact that it's ONLY 400W :-p. I've compared it to all my other amps, being the only one I owned the whole bassing career, Peavey Basic 112, Ampeg B4-R, Ampeg SVT-CL, Peavey Mark IV, Firebass 700, and I still turn to the Acoustic when it's loud enough, which is almost always. My current band supports two marshall full stacks and I never go above 12 oclock on the gain and 2 o clock on volume, and I cut through perfectly...contact me if you have any questions!
