This amp seems like it was built in the late 70's or early 80's. The amp only has 3 tones controls, and a volume control. It does have two inputs, one at 0db and one at -6db. The amp is really not versatile being that it is only 1x15 60 watt combo, but in saying that, it does what it does very well. This is a back-up amp for an acoustic/christian worship band, and it has never let us down. The bass is strong and deep, and the mid/treble range is descent. It has enough power to fill the stage volume through the monitor mix. The most amazing feature is the preamp out, most amplifier from that time period do not include a preamp out.

The amp sounds good, and has a real good tone. It does well for simple and uncomplicated bass styles that are used in basic worship. When our bass player begins to play real fast and aggresive, there is just not enough power for that type of sound. With only one 15 inch driver, you just cannot get a modern bass sound. However, 60 watts on this amp goes a long way, it feels more like 100 to 125 watts. If you are looking for a bass for an audience of 200-400, this is a great amp. If you play for a larger audience, you will need to take the preamp out through a direct box into your system.

It is probably the most dependable amplifier I have ever used. Acoustic amps do not break unless you abuse them everyday for hours, and even then they probably won't break.

Out of business, and never dealt with them.

If you run across an acoustic amp somewhere and you don't but it, you might as well go jump off a cliff. They are worth their weight in gold for dependability and deep sound. If it were stolen I would love to find another one, but since acoustic is out of business, that may be pretty tough.

this amp has all the punch & low end growl that acoustic is famous for yet clean enough without sounding muddy or boomy-in fact a lot of keyboardists used this amp it looks like a classic roland cube amp! & the same quality!NOW THE BAD NEWS! while no amp is perfect except walter woods this amp has that rotten GK amp hiss also 60 cycle buzz when treble boost is used so what out single coil pick up users! you have been warned!remember this is only 60 watts but it blew away a fender bxr 300 watt combo! hands down! fender& swr go back to school & learn what the word LOUD means! stop building these heavy under powered over priced practise amps!

every thesaurus should have acoustic control corp listed under the word "reliable" nobody i mean NOBODY! can build amps as tough as acoustic did! this company knew its stuff! thats why jaco & zeppelin used their products as john paul jones once said "3 songs then roll out the 360s" i never use a back up but my acoustic amps has backed up many a blown amp of other bassists ive shared stages with theres nothing that tastes better than an ice cold beer bought by a fellow bassist i helped out using my rig! yes i will admit mesa & ampeg may have more tone but at a high price! & why bother? its only rock n roll that i play & i play alot of gigs so give me reliability 1st!

like the dinosaurs the late great mighty bass amp company acoustic is no more why? it would be nice to know i guess times change and acoustic just couldnt keep up oh well too bad -acoustic was the 1st to make 1st real bass amp the 360-and thats a fact everything else back then were just guitar amps well as long as there ebay & pawn shops there will always be acoustic bass amps and they are easy to repair when they do break down! but someday parts may be a problem but you cant keep a good bass amp down!

yes im a young old fart classic rock n roller using great gear that made the great music thats still sounds great today i try to keep an open mind check out new stuff but compared to acoustc amps "they dont make em like they use to" thats an under statement! bass amp makers today have realise all those bells & whistles they add only weakens their product the perfect bass amp should only have one knob on it! a on-off volume knob and thats it! can anybody out do it? if lost or stolen i will always keep an acoustic bass amp in my arsnall they are that good!
