I know a seven in this category might seem a bit harsh for a boutique quality amp. For acoustic instruments this is a very nice, useable device. Even puting an acoustic guitar and a vocal throught sounds great.
My objection is that they have marketed this amp as not being instrument specific. ie. You can use for anything.
It sounds fairly average with my Fender P bass at most volumes.
The problem is it doesn't seem to have a good low-mid response for electric bass. On top of this the squawker (midrange speaker) makes it sound really honky with the Pbass.
Sounds really good over all frequency ranges with the upright though.
If you are looking for an Amp for upright bass or acoustic guitar I would definitely consider this amp. If you have to swap between Double and electric basses mid gig, I would probably opt for a GK or something.
The Amp sounds amazing using an external Eden '12' speaker, and bypassing the Acoustic image speaker all together.
I would probably recomend a AI head and a different speaker like an EDEN or an ACME.

A great amp for Acoustic Bass, Acoustic guitar, good vocal amp. Good Keyboard amp. Not good with solid bodied instruments (in my opinion)
Forgive the typos in this review I'm a little dislexic. Lol.

Lots of eq etc.
2 channels.
1 jack in, 1 mic in, but if you need more inputs use the effects return.
Direct out.
I'm using this for organ and the eq is in the wrong spots, hardly surprising seeing as it's design for double bass.

Organ bass.
I had to get a graphic eq to get my sound, but this thing is so flat it's not funny. Crank up 100Hz and you will be amazed.
Puts out what you put in.

I can carry this combo in one hand.
If it isn't loud enough for you then you are doing something wrong.

Had no problems.
Let me reiterate; this is an amplifier for musicians who know what they are doing, it isn't for everyone.

I am a professional musician, and have been since I left school. I've never had a 'real job'...and this is the best $1200 I've ever spent.
Combo organ in one hand, 300Watts of class D in the other: you know it makes sense.
I just wish it came in mother-of-pearl.

Ok, it's been a while and still that amp blows all other amps away in the shop I've put it up for sale in... I did put it next to the ashdown radiator 2. And the coda is laughing at that one, They also have the rediculous Fender ones there, Podium.. you name it.
So why did I give it up?
It doesn't have enough volume, for anything, when you play it at home it's loud all right but live, on stage with drummers or whatever it just doesn't cut it. The woofer solution is brilliant but it doesn't work in real life.. Nobody's more sorry than me.. but that's just a fact, and yes I did connect the extension speaker to it. Still not enough.. The sound gets really sensitive to feedback as well, This amp sounds and works great "on paper" but not in real life, that goes for all acoustic amps though..

I use two pickups that I blend on the instrument channel (Y-cable) dial in the eq, connect a mic for voice, the sound is increddible!!! You can connect another speaker for additional volume. And here's my tip, hook up a pair of 8ohm speakers in serie from the extension and you have a mini PA system with amazing clarity. The base response from this unit is so tight it's increddible, thanks to the downfiring woofer, this is not just another amp, this is a new invention! It sounds so good on it's own as well, though, perfect for small gigs and for stage monitoring

Great customer support, they are a bit shy though, if I sold this one I would tell everybody that it is the best, in every possible way. And the guy I bought it from was so friendly and helpful he deserves an award

If this thing were stolen, I'd problably give up playing, since there's no way I could ever afford it again. I have to pay shipping and tax on top of the price that is 1098 dollars with case, since I don't live in USA. I have to meantion the headphones as well, you can go on for hours at home at night. Feel free to contact me.
