I have an 8ohm model that I combine with an 8ohm GS212,powered by the mighty Music Man HD130(which is one of the best kept secrets in tube powered bass amps.)With the 210 on top,I get a good focused midrange up closer to ear level where I can hear it during a live performance. This balances out nicely with the warm, deep, organic sound of the GS212 and this makes up my stage/touring rig.Add another head and you can drive each spkr individually in stereo for insanely loud gigs and then if a spkr or head goes out on you on the road,The remaining one will get you through.I have used, owned or borrowed Fender,Mesa,Ampeg,GK and Sunn and experience has led me to this rig for versatility and GREAT sound. The 210 alone is very midrangy but with some EQ sounds fine.

This cabinet was sitting, unprotected on my 212 road case when it rolled off the sidewalk and fell from about 3 feet, face down with enough force that it broke a 1 1/2" thick concrete stepping stone. Not only does the thing still work fine(I still depend on it)but I can't even hear, feel or see any damage except for a tiny, unnoticeable dent. This is a VERY well built cabinet.

I have been playing to varying degrees for nearly 25 years and have owned lots of other gear.In combo with a 212 or 115 it's great, but alone it's too midrangy though it will work in a pinch if need be.

At 38 I became a serious bass student, I played a bit in high school a hundred years ago but I finally got serious about it. Dabbled for 25 years, got serious the last 2. I'm no pro but I do know about tone and quality.
I bought this cabinet to go with a GK RB400III, 240 watts at 4 ohms. The reason I offer this review is because I intended to buy the GS112 based on all the good ratings it gets. I tried the GS210 because its power rating fit better with the RB400III, (read 4 ohm). I plugged my mexican jazz bass into my head and tried both cabinets in the same session. The GS210 had much more presence and punch. I thought the GS112 was nice but much flatter, less cone control I suppose. I have been studying bass seriously for two years, so I'm no pro, but I love the tone and flexability of the RB400III with the GS210 4 ohm.
Anyway, If you think you love the sound of the GS112 and have not tried the GS210, I encourage you to do so. It's heavier and bigger and more expensive but I believe its worth the extra cost.

This cabinet sounds amazing. I have owned an Eden 2x10XLT and traded it in for one of these cabs because I feel these cabs sound cleaner. I use it with the Aguilar GS 115 biamped but it can be easily used as a stand alone. I own a fender Jazz bass and an Ibanez ATK bass and play mostly funk, rock, and hip-hop. This cab sounds great with any style.

I've been playing bass for 10 years and this is the finest cabinet I've ever owned. I have owned SWR, EDEN, AMPEG, BLB, HARTKE. They all fall short in quality compared to this cab.
