I like the Speakon input and the fact that the 1/4" connectors are parallel for hooking up more cabs. But why isn't there a Speakon parallel out?

Tweeter control works well. And the recessed type of handle totally whoops up on the swing out type on my Ampeg cab.

Sounds beautiful. The combination of the GS 410 Warwick Thumb BO w/ piezos through a Raven Labs preamp and Mackie power amp is just smokin'! Sweet mid-presence for the Warwick, but my upright bass loses some of its lows through this cab.

Reliability : 6
I have replaced two of the 10" speakers in the last year. The cab is about 4 years old, so maybe the speakers are degrading. But at $100/ea it's not cheap to fix.

Ordering parts online is almost a waste of time. Just give the shop a call and do it that way. Replacement speakers take longer to get in than I would like; ~10 business days.

Been playing this cab for over 4 years. I dig the sound of my Warwick through it. I might be trading it in for one of the new GS 412s to see if I blow fewer speakers with that.

Hopefully Aguilar will jump on the neodymium wagon and come out with some lightweight versions of their incredible sounding cabs.

4x10 56 oz speakers. Tweeter, attenuater, speakon and 1/4 inch inputs, black carpet, steele grill, top and bottom ports, plastic corners, recessed handles, removable casters, plywood construction, black carpet covering. What more could you want?

Sound Quality : 10
I run through a Messa/Boogie Bass 400+. This cab handles it very well. Deep lows, brilliant highs, clear mids. Very even and focused. Doesn't color the sound like an Ampeg or Ashdown. I play a Modulus Genesis 5, Carvin bolt-kit 4, and a USA Hamer Cruise 2-tek with flats. The distinct character of each bass comes through this cabinet. Great for pop and rock.

No news is good news.

Again, couldn't say. Hope I don't ever need to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 10
You must try out this cabinet before you purchase an Ampeg, Ashdown, Eden, SWR. I compared this cabinet to everything under the sun and it beat them all hands down. The only other thing to consider might be an Aguilar GS212. You will not be dissapointed. If it were stolen I would definately purchase another Aguilar cab.

4X10 700 watts, 4 ohm. Speakons, horn, etc. etc.

Sound Quality : 10
Great. I have tried most top line cabs(eden, swr, ashdown) and this blows them all away. The tone is so pristine, by bass loses absolutely nothing. My last rig was a monster, 2x15 and 8x12, yeah I told you it was big. This 4x10 sounds 10 times louder and 1000 times better. Full range cab loses no frequencies even real low ones.

Reliability : No Opinion
Still new, but seems well built

Customer Support : 10
Amazing, I emailed the company before I bought this cab and they invited me for a factory tour(even though they are closed to the public). Emails are always answered with much more information that I asked for(which is great) and in a very timely manner

Overall Rating : 10
Excellent. Sounds perfect with my aguilar db750

hands down, the gs410 can produce best deep bassy tone i've yet to come across for hard rock music which is what i play. oh yeah, its loud enough to cut through mesa dual rects also.
gear i use in support of the gs410:
1998 rickenbacker 4001v63.
1972 fender precision bass.
gs210. 8ohm.
mesa boogie 400+.
alembic f-1x preamp.
alembic sf-2 superfilter.
novation bass station rack.
ebs unichorus pedal.

cab is built sturdy and heavy! weighs close to 98lbs. black metal grille and carpeted. i've only used it for practice and a few local gigs. no hard tournig yet, that will come in summer. i'm sure it will make it through ok without any problems. but i can see those plastic corner thingy's cracked off in a couple years though!

Customer Support : No Opinion
i don't think i'll be needing this.

i've been playing bass for four years now and have owned only ampeg gear in the past. (svt3pro & 8x10 classic.) and i really have to say that on the issue of cabs aguilar blows ampeg out of the water. i saved money, space, and back surgey by choosing the aggie. if my gs410 was stolen like my ampeg gear (don't laugh it happens!) then yes, i would replace it in a heartbeat. the only thing i really dislike about this cab are the casters. i found them to be insufficent (too small) considering the size and weight of the cab (98lbs.) so, i replaced them with the larger mesa boogie casters that lock to the bottom of the cab. they work alot better now. if you are in the market for a bass cab i highly recommend an aguilar gs410. but don't take mine or anybody else's word. shop around. play as many cabs as you can. then go play an aggie. i think you will be suprised. i was.

Cabinet new in 2001. It's got 4 10" speakers and a horn. Horn level is adjustable in the back. It's got a Speakon input and two 1/4" inputs. 4 ohm (also available in 8 ohm), 700W power handling. Top and bottom ported, casters included. What features could you possibly want in a bass cab that this doesn't have?

Sound Quality : 10
I play a Reverend Rumblefish XL bass through a Tech 21 LM600 bass amp. The Aguilar GS 410 is perfect for this amp. It can growl like those classic SVT 810s you've always dreamed about, but this doesn't give you a slipped disc from transporting it. I play indie rock that can be both soft and scorching loud, and this cab is expressive enough to pull off the exact sound I'm looking for. The tone is so huge, and there's a whole lot of headroom available for hard playing.

Reliability : 8
Very heavy duty construction with one exception: Sure, the corners are tough reinforced plastic, the whole cab is covered in durable black carpet, and the grille on the front is practically impenetrable heavy duty steel... BUT why are the handles and molding around the inputs made of plastic? That is the only part of this cab that slightly irks me, but it's all recessed, so nothing will likely happen. I will have to be careful, though.

Nope, hasn't broken down yet, and I don't expect it to. It's the average weight for a good 410 bass cab, about 95 lbs. The only thing that really scares me is the remote possibility that one day it'll get dropped from a truck or something, and its own weight crashing to the earth at 9.8 m/sec/sec would destroy it completely, or else mangle it badly.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with Aguilar. They are a small company, so I would bet that they would be friendly and eager to please.

Overall Rating : 9
I can't BELIEVE there aren't any reviews of this cab besides this one. Come on people, stop putting up with those uninspired Ampegs and SWRs. Sure, they are kind of nice, but a Goliath III or a SVTHLF-410 don't even come close to rivalling the tone of the Aguilar GS 410. This bad boy is so much beefier in almost every aspect of the resulting sound. I A/B'd my amp against several 410s at several stores before coming to the no-brainer decision that the GS 410 is the best around.

Would get a 10 easily for sound alone, but my extremely picky (probably unfounded and paranoid) concerns about reliability prevent this. So a 9 it is, and that is nothing to be ashamed of. Aguilar, you rock for creating this gem. Keep up the great work.
