Massive clean power with bags of headroom, The Sub harmoniser can give you a huge low end rumble! Very easy to use eq section, Easy to dial in and switch between traditional and modern sounds, will do vintage Ampeg growl and classic British Trace Elliot sounds (talking pre series 6 sounds when Trace were great!). So much clean usable sounds and overdriven sounds too (if it is your want!)

I use a mixture of British, German and Japanese basses with the combo and the really wonderful thing is that they all sound different through this amp and they all work! I am a recent convert from SWR and I cannot get over the difference in tone especially with the trusty British Wal bass superb! The Warwick is tremendous too. I play all styles with the band I am with doing covers etc. And this amp makes you want to PLAY it makes you want to test its versatility, I love to reach for the sub harmonizer and really kick out Radiohead! or U2 covers or just keep it locked onto a straight EQ setting for pop. I can really hit the motown Duck Dunn sound too just roll off the back pick up, boost the bass a touch and My Girl bass intro makes em stop and stare, SUPERB!

It's British what more can I say? Built to last you can feel the quality of the components and see the build quality. These things are built to order not mass produced as such.
never had to call them for support or back up but I hear very good things.

Had dealings via email and always got a response, so no complaints there. The really nice thing is you dont have to worry about a UK distributor as anyone bass store that knows REAL bass know Mark Gooday and Ashdown and you always have a point of reference.

I have been experimenting with amps for ages and never really found the one amp that does the trick. Til now! This amp makes me want to play, it looks cool with vu meter glowing on stage, it sounds amazing and I have my whole rig in one box - bonus!!! If there is anyone out there who hasnt heard the Ashdown sound check it out sooner rather than later! incredible! I am currently looking for a combo for smaller quieter gigs Ashdown will get the nod there too. I couldnt ask for anymore, first class!
