Brand new out of the box, this is Ashdowns "flagship" model "Proudly made in the UK"
Twin 575 watt power amps hide inside the chassis...yet we only have one channel to play with!
Solid state/valve pre amp inputs.
Ashdowns sub-harmonic generator.
Built in compressor that is too intrusive and a very unmusical Eg section. usual effects sends and returns etc.
I honestly think that this should have been a twin channel amp.....
Erm....good build quality.

Where do we start?
A brutally loud amplifier that has one of the most unmusical tones (to my ears) that I've ever heard.
I freely admit that I'm not a big fan of Ashdown, but I recently borrowed one of the Chinese made EVO heads and was pleasantly surprised with its tone.
This is meant to be two of the EVO's in one package, so how come this amp sounds so different? its just a real bog-standard tone. it sounds like a cheap behringer but with ten times the volume.
Very dissapointing.

Had no issues with this one but it is one of only two Ashdowns I've used that were reliable.

I did use this amp with a view to buying it but i changed my mind.
in my honest opinion, all it has as a positive is buckets of power.
If I had to, I'd buy an EVO over the Klystron, every time.....
