The combo looks great and delivers quite a punchy sound with its 2 x 10" blueline speakers. It has two inputs, passive and active with rotary controls for input and output stages. Also featured are the compressor, five band eq, sub harmonics and push button controls for eq, bright and deep so there's plenty of room for a wide variety of different soud requirements. I bought this amp to give me the extra head room 'cause the drummer I play with is incredibly loud. I was using a laney 100w Probass 1 x 15 which I've had for over twenty years but it just didn't have a big rock sound. Best results are acheived with the addition of a 15" which really creates a solid full all round sound.

Sound Quality : 5
I'm using a fretless warwick streamer with dean markley pick ups and can achieve a great sound for both rock and jazz. I used the amp for several gigs straight away and was quite pleased with it especially because I could hear myself over the drummer! Over the next few weeks I noticed how, with the increased levels I used, a lot of noise. I spent time playing about with all the controls and really felt disappointed, thinking It must have a fault. It went back to the shop, they sent it back to Ashdown and several weeks later it came back, exactly the same. Apparently you shouldn't push all the controls to a combination of high because the amp starts to produce its own sound. Very noisy amplification of the circuitary (I am told) and with the subharmonic and deep settings, sounds like there is a noise generator in use. Strange thing is, this is all without anything plugged in at all and if you turn the input control down from nine oclock position to zero, the noise actually gets louder????

Reliability : No Opinion
I can't comment on the reliability as I've not had it long enough.

Customer Support : 9
Customer support from ashdown is pretty quick but i'm so dissapointed that this amp functions well and badly and the engineer tell me this is all within original spec.
