Features : 8
unsure on age, i'd estimate around 5 years old.

pretty standard setup
*300W solid state head
*passive & active input
*gain, shape, master knobs
*compressor
*ratio knob
*7 band EQ
*headphone out
*DI Out
*2x speaker outputs

rated 8, it actualy has alot of features and for the most part they are all useable; I play hard rock through an ashton 300W 4x10" cab and this does the job, I don't think I would pay sticker price for one but its definately underrated and very cheap on the used market (due to brand snobbery haha!)

Sound Quality : 8
I play through this and an ashton 4x10" its stable right across the volume spread, haven't seen any distorting at all yet.

played it at an outdoor venue and it kept up with a Kustom guitar quad / a PA system.

as for sound? I would use this for anything realy... I don't think its realy got the balls for funk but for most other styles why not? alot of ashton stuff is quite underrated especialy their amps.

rated at 7 as its just so easy to coax a useable sound from, it doesn't do all the sounds as convicingly as a more expensive amp but these can be had dirt cheap used and what do you realy expect? its much easier to EQ than my old peavey MK IV setup thats for sure! the end result isn't as nice though.

I was going to rate it a 7 but gave it 8 due to the fact it handles the low B on my ESP Custom Jazz

Reliability : 10
have only had it for a few months, the previous owner ran this thing hard and it was evident due to the ammount of marks and scuffs over the entire setup.

every weekend I drive it hard for periods of 5+ hours, no hiccups as yet, the fan is a little noisy but such is the cost for reliability

Customer Support : No Opinion
never spoken to em, I bought it used anyway I imagine the warrenty ran out long ago

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for around 5 years, currently I play an ESP Custom 5 string Jazz, a Yamaha RBX170 & Westone Spectrum ST through this rig.

Previously I ran a Peavey MK IV + 4x8" & 1x15" cabs, I was able to get nicer tone from the Peavey but its much easier to get a useable tone from this than from the peavey.

I paid $300 for the head + a 4x10" which realy is nothing, I just needed something to keep up with a drummer & two guitars, its definately done its job and realy converted me on ashton amps.

Ashton IS entry level stuff, I went out and tried a new low end Marshal head+cab setup and I definately made the right decision buying this ashton used.

If it were stolen I wouldn't be too upset... unless you broke my window to get to it or something, eventualy when I have the cash this rig will be retired but I realy just can't sing its praises enough concidering the price these can be had for!
