Not much to say that hasn't been said. High quality box laoded with industry standard speakers. Cheap, simple and perfect.

I'm using the cab in parallel with a Nemesis NC-210 combo. I ordered two 16 ohm delta 10's from Avatar and installed them in place of the stock Eden speakers. This allowed me to connect the Avatar 210 cab in parallel without drwing too much current from the amp as it is only rated to 4 ohms. The sound is great. This cab does the job perfectly. I'm not pushing it too hard(only about 110 watts), so I can't speak of it's power handling prowess.

Seems sturdy. It's very uncomplicated so there's little to go wrong.

Here's something that bears reapeating. Dave knows what he is doing. He runs a great business that provides musicians with a product that they want. However, due to the overwhelming response of his customers in this and other review forums, Avatar has grown in popularity and as a result the prices have gone up. More power to him I say, that's why you go into business in the first place. He could sell his cabs for a hundred dollars more and they would still be a bargain.

Been playing for 14 years. If you are looking for a simple cab that will get the job done and noot cost you a fortune, then look no further. If you care about name brand recognition, then wait another year before buy an Avatar, but keep in mind that in a year an Avatar cab will only be one hundred less than an Ampeg and two hundred less than an SWR.

Purchased in mid-2002, long enough ago that we have practiced with it, gigged with it, thrown it in and out of trucks and vans. Price was about $200, altogether $240 shipped to my door. Reasonably-sized (25"w, 16"h, 16"d) cabinet with 2-10" Eminence Deltas, stamped frame speakers w/ 2.5" vc's, 56 oz. magnets, and useful response into the midrange although this cab also comes with a horn tweeter with filter capacitor and L-pad for adjusting relative levels. 3/4" plywood construction, covered in black carpet with stacking corners (the diagonal-chevron kind) and heavy-duty handles. Dual 1/4" jacks in parallel. Ours is the 4-ohm version, two 8-ohm drivers in parallel. Basically this is just a box of speakers, but a good one. It's sold for bass-guitar use, but with its broad range it's useful for lots of other things too; we have used it with electronic drums and even once as a center-fill PA speaker in the middle of the stage.

This is usually used as part of a biamped or triamped bass-guitar setup with a BBE383 preamp, a Peavey PV1500 power amp, and one of 2 or 3 different short-scale bass guitars from an EB-0 solidbody to a Turser violin-bass clone. Compression is always dialed in (about halfway) on the BBE to even out transients, and with this peak-filtration setup, the Avatar cab will make a lot of noise for its size. We set the tweeter somewhere between "off" and "halfway" depending on the setting; it's pretty efficient and doesn't need to be run wide open unless you really want to hear every detail of string scrape and amp hiss.

We do depend on it, every practice, every gig. We have more cabs and amps than we use at most indoor gigs, so unless it's a big outdoor thing we always are leaving some stuff at home. Not this guy; it gets packed in the van every time, because it does a great job relative to its size and weight. We have abused it to the point of "speaker fart," I'm ashamed to say, but its has always bounced back. Someday we will melt the Eminence Deltas into smoking hulks, I'm sure, but if we do, we will simply buy another pair. Oh, and Avatar has great deals on replacement speakers since they buy them in bulk. The cabinet itself can't be faulted. Real plywood, not MDF or particle board. Solid construction. Tough carpet and giant plasic corners, well-attached, which have slid across truck floors several times without failure. And fairly light weight for its capabilities (about 45-50 pounds; one old fart like me can carry it easily). Seems like every amp/speaker company sells a 2-10" bass cab, but I have yet to find one significantly better than this, and all the "big names" cost more. Some cost a LOT more. Most I've seen look like they have the same Eminence Deltas that Avatar puts in this one.

I have spoken with and emailed Dave at Avatar, probably enough that he winces when he sees my name in the email header. We have purchased (multiple)15" cabinets, as well as parts and raw speakers, from Avatar. I gather that this is Dave's company, and he runs it right - always prompt with an answer or suggestion. From reading other posts here I understand that he is serious about his warranty and support if anything goes wrong. We've never had anything go wrong. Avatar is one of the two best music-equipment companies I've ever dealt with. If the rating in this category could go to "11", that would be my choice.

I've been playing since the '60's. I've designed and built my own cabinets, and even written about that on the Shavano Music site (http://www.colomar.com/Shavano/), and I have to say, Avatar cabinets are built better than some of the cabs I've labored over for weeks in the garage. Avatar will also sell most of its designs "speakerless", i.e. cabs only, and I've bought a couple that way because they were just as good as the best I could do, at a price not much more than the materials alone (I'd only recommend this if you have speakers to put in them already; you can't buy good speakers cheaper than the price differential for finished Avatar cabs). I popped a few extra staples into the carpet lining for added security while I was poking around inside the cabinet, but I couldn't find anywhere else I could make or even suggest an improvement. I fully expect my Avatar stuff will outlive me. In an industry where absurd markups are the norm, Avatar cabs are a screaming deal, and this one is particularly versatile. For a large room, if you're only going to use one speaker cab for a bass rig, I'd recommend the 4-10" model instead, but as part of a multi-amped array (it fits perfectly on top of their B15 cabs), this little guy is hard to beat.

This 210 cabinet sounds great. I would recommend it to anyone. Since I've used just about evey 210 on the market, I am very satisfied with the balance of Highs & Lows. Dave gave me great support with everything. The cabinet is lightweight & easy to get around with plenty of power. Thanks Dave!

I needed clear punchy cabinets which were loud and easily transportable. I bought the B210 & the B115 to use together. The B210 is light and reasonably small and quite loud with excellent sound.

I am using this primarily for Rock, and it works exceedingly well. As with all bass cabinets that include a horn, the horn can be harsh, hence the slight reduction in score here.

I haven't had this cabinet long enough to really address reliability, I need to wait a few years first.

I purchased the 210 cabinet loaded with 2 10" Eminence speakers w/ 56 oz magnets and Foster Horn via via Ebay for $155 back in August of 2001. As a musician in NYC, I have learned that size matters and you need gear that gets the job done while taking up the least amount of real estate. As such, I have downsized from an Ampeg 810 to an Ampeg 410 and now to the Avatar 210. At approx. 400 watts (rms) at 4 ohms, it works nicely with my Ampeg SVT -3 Pro. which pushes 400 watts @ 4 ohms, 275 @ 8ohms. The Foster horn is tuneable. It really fits my needs nicely.
This is really a great sounding, no-frills cabinet.

I play a G&L L2000 which has huge bottom end, and this cabinet in combination with my aforementioned Ampeg SVT -3 Pro gets the job done and then some. I play in an all-original "Brit-Pop" 3 piece and the bass, which serves as both rhythym and melody, needs to cut through, which it does cleanly and effortlessly. I have had other bass players ask about the cabinet, which is the best endorsement of the sound possible. While I wouldn't expect the cabinet to be enough on its own for playing Madison Square Garden (not that anyone has asked me to), it really works in your standard bar / small to mid-size venues. I get all of the bottom end, mids and highs that I am looking for with each being nicely defined. I've never tried it with a 5 string so I can't speak to how well it would do with low B.
I had another 210 cabinet, a Hartke Transporter loaded with 2 Eden 10's, (no horn) and the Avatar just sounded so much nicer and more full, that I decided to sell the Hartke/Eden.

The cabinet is built really solidly as it is made from 3/4" plywood and not pathetic particle board that some manufacturers foist on their customers. Some of the internal carpeting which is used for sound dampening fell down during shipping as it wasn't well-stapled in place; an easy enough fix, though. It also arrived with a ding in the side (Thanks, UPS). Dave of Avatar felt badly enough to refund my shipping cost. He is exceptionally responsive to his customers - an absolutely A-1 guy!

Absolutely the best customer service I have ever had from any company, especially a music-related company. Other CEO's should take lessons from Dave.

I have been playing for over 20 years and have had Ampeg, Eden and Peavey amps, cabinets and combos. This 210 really works for me with respect to my power vs. size requirements. If I had the room for a 410, I'd purchase it from Avatar. Avatar really offers exceptional value and the sound takes a back-seat to no one.
The only thing I would change (and have) is that when I purchased the cabinet, it came with individual speaker grills. The newer versions now sport a full grill and I have ordered one from Dave and he was kind enough to let me purchase it at his cost plus shipping.
These are really great values and anyone looking for a new cabinet should snap these up at the bargain basement prices on Ebay. While I wouldn't rate these at the same upper echelon as Epifani, Acme or Eden, they don't embarass themselves and they compare very well with Ampeg, SWR, Fender, Carvin, etc and are MUCH better values!!
