Features : 10
Bought new in 2004. 2 x 12 speaker configuration with a Foster tweeter. Can handle a lot of power.

Sound Quality : 10
I use it with an Ashdown MAG300H and it sounds great. Real punchy mids, great slap tone, the whole deal. EVerything sounds great. If the tweeter is turned up , it hisses. Foster tweeters arent the greatest tweeters, so that is my only complaint. I have the tweeter barely on though, and it is fine, and does not hinder the tone of the cab at all.

Reliability : 10
Very reliable. Great construction.

Customer Support : 10
I felt with Dave at Avatar Speakers. Hes great and answered all my questions quickly.

Overall Rating : 10
Ive been playing a few years. I play a Godin SD with Bartolini pickups through the Ashdown MAG300H into the Avatar. If this was lost or stolen i would buy a new one because there is no better value.

bought the cab new direct from factory last year. Nice guys. As far as features go: it's a speaker cabnet so as long its got kick ass speakers i'm pretty happy... I geuss its got handels and that's a feature

Sound Quality : 10
Currently playing a newer G&L SB2 into an AMPEG SVT 2 PRO. the 212 is good by itself. The range is surprising.
If you are planning to use multiple cabs make sure this is one of them. It works great under a couple of tens (if that's your sound) and it rules ontop of 115 (which is how i run it, with the avatar b115). The sound is so thick, low, clean, and crisp, you'll swear you paid four times the price.

Reliability : 9
i recommend it to everyone. just be careful not to turn the horn too high.

Customer Support : 10
very helpful, very friendly... when you call them you are speaking either to the guy who owns the shop or the guy who puts them together.

***note to manufaturer. you guys do great work with a great philosophy... don't go chaning.

Overall Rating : 10
if you are still unsure about this company, go to the local music store at cheack out the prices of the Eden, SWR, or Ampeg gear. There just plywood boxes with speakers and logos. You will get the same musical satisfacting from avatar.
one of my favourite quotes is...
"in high end audio, you only pay for the price."

im using a hartke bass right now and play in 2 bands, drawing nigh which is a hardcore project (www.nighiscoming.com) and K!LL THE L!GHTS which is a screamo project. both bands use extremely different tones and this amp handles both beautifully. the lows are deep and never clip while in drop C and the highs just sound amazing. i use a GK 400RB-IV Head and it sounds great, i plan on getting another head to push the amp even further.

Reliability : 10
i had a GK 4x10 before it was stolen and am actually glad it was cuz i got a chance to get this 2x12 and its soooo much better. this amp can be all you need to play gigs and i havent had any trouble with it.

Customer Support : 10
daves an awesome guy and is incredibly helpful and answers your ever question in need. i would reccommend him over any retailer out there and his amps are definately worth it. his service is very fast and reliable.

Overall Rating : 10
i've been playing for around roughly 2 years now and have played through quite a few amps and none have compared with this one. if it were to get stolen or lost, i'd come back again and again. i havent found anything wrong with it and it beats any competitor price and value. this amp deserves a solid 10.

2004 8 ohm model, 1000 watts RMS

Sound Quality : 9
I use the B212 with an older SWR Bass 350, Warwick Thumb bolt on, and a Boss pedal board with: ODB-3, LM-2B, GE-B7, CE-2, and a DD-5. I play in a church band (minus the fx), and in my prog-metal/rock band.

So far its been sounding great. I could immediately hear the difference of the 12's compared to 10's. I had to boost the midrange a bit, but not a lot. The extra low end was a nice complement to my sound. I have the tweeter turned up about 10%. The cab sounds great by itself, but its a little quiet since my amp only puts out ~250w @ 8 ohms. I'm going to get a bigger amp, or add another cab to draw more from my current amp.

Reliability : 9
I've had the cab for about a month, and it works great. I work with my band every Thursday, and rehearse/play with the church band every other week and its been solid. I do want to get a cover for it once my band starts playing out again. The carpet is really soft, and my road case left some imprints in it. Not really worried about it, but I don't want the cab to get all fuzzy looking.

Customer Support : 10
I had forgot to specify what ohm rating I wanted...talked to Dave and got it straightened out. Very friendly and helpful, just as everyone else has experienced.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing bass for about 11 years. This is the first brand new cab I've bought, and I'm pleased with it. It's affordable, sounds great, and looks great. I'm planning on buying more Avatar cabs in the future. I would definitely buy another one if it were stolen.

Made in March 2004. 1000 watts. 4 Ohms. 1/4" jacks.
Not many features to speak of. Just two 12" Eminence Delta drivers and a Foster tweeter.

The construction is excellent. Very solid. The handles/grips are comfortable and easy to grab on to. They're a pretty good design.

60+ lbs.
It's heavy but not too bad.

Sound Quality : 10
I run this cab by itself.
I play a 4 string MIA Fender Jazz bass through an Ampeg SVT Classic head.

I'm in a LOUD Rock band with 2 guitarists, keys, drums, bass and vocals....we're basically influenced by Rush, Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Radiohead, Muse and The Police.

This cab is EXCELLENT. It's very versatile and gives me a great tone. I don't know too much about cab consturction and how insulated and ventilated cabs ought to be, but this one is just right for my needs.

Our sound varies drastically from song to song and at times my tone needs to adapt to what the song calls for and this cab responds brilliantly. VERSATILE. I'm really happy with it.

The speakers are great. I keep the Foster horn at 9 o'clock. 1/4 of a way up. PERFECT!

What else can I say, this cab has really impressed me.
The price is unreal. I'm very happy with this cab.

So, all things considered, TONE, VERSATILITY, CONSTRUCTION, CAB DESIGN, PRICE, CUSTOMER SERVICE, this cab is a winner.

If this cab doesn't deserve a TEN, then no cab does.

Reliability : 10
SOLID.
I've had it for 4 months and have run it through its paces severl times at rehearsal and it's always ready when I am.

Customer Support : 10
EXCELLENT.
I spoke with Dave at Avatar a number of times before I bought the cab. He's a knowledgeable, helpful guy.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing bass for nine years.
My last cab was an Eden 2x10XLT, also an excellent cab.
The 2x12 design is a welcome change. Don't be fooled by the attractive price, it's just as good as Eden.

As stated above, overall, it's a TEN. A fantastic value.

B212 Bass cabinet with two Eminence Delta LF 12" speakers. Rated 1000 watts @ 4 ohms. Has two 1/4" jacks for daisy chaining cabinets. Adjustable Foster horn. H/D side handles.

Sound Quality : 9
I play mainly Rock, with a custom B.Bo 4-string Bass with active Jazz Bass vintage EMG pickups. I am currently using a GK1001 Bass head, and it sounds great. I have also used it with a Hartke HA4000, and a Eden WT400, and it also sounded very good. It is tight, focused, with good punch, and strong low end. It also is very efficient, requiring very little power to drive. The Foster horn is hissy if adjusted above 1/2.

Reliability : 10
I have owned it for 5 months with no problems. It feels very solid, and has quality components. I have also owned other Avatar Bass cabinets, and have no problems.

Customer Support : 10
Excellent! Dave is great to deal with!

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing Bass since the mid 60's, and have also owned an Eden, and SWR 2x12" Bass cabinets. Overall, I prefer the sound of the Avatar cabinet, and it is half the price! I replaced an Avatar B210 and B115 with this cabinet, becauce I wanted to downsize my rig. I feel it is the best of both worlds, giving me good tight punch, with strong lows. Not "boomy" or "muddy" like some other 12'' or 15'' Bass cabinets. It is a great value.

Mine is a Delta 4ohm. Nothing new or different from any of the other reviews. Good stuff all together.

Sound Quality : 10
Great sound for the price. Its not a top of the line ampeg, But he it cost 1/3 as much and I would say is about 85% as good as a top of the line ampeg cab.

Reliability : 10
Never had a problem... I have pushed it very hard too. It is very loud with the firebass im pushing it with. I am only putting about 500w peak into it also.... So it still has a lot left in it. Cab looks like it will never give me any problems... Its very sturdy. I have had it about 2 months now too, and giged quite a few times with it, and no problems at all.

Customer Support : 10
Dave is the man... You can call the onwer of the company yourself and talk to him in person... He is awsome to work with, and will bend over backwards to help you. It gets No better... Seriously

Overall Rating : 10
Cab is Awsome, Dave is awsome, and Im planing on adding another b212 in the future... Thats just how much I like it.

I use Lakland Basses a 44-02 and a 55-01 with a G-K 400rbIII Head. I play Top 40 and Classic rock. This Cab has the best sound I have heard in 30 years of playing. I have used all the Major brands and not only does this cab match them IT BEATS THEM !!!

Reliability : 9
It is built like a brick S**t house. Nice solid cab

Only used before purchase. Dave helped me select the Deltas and decide 4 ohms

Overall Rating : 10
In my 30 years of playing this is the best sounding cab I have had. If it was stolen I would order two more!!

Avatar B212 w/ Kappa 12's and Foster tweeter. 900 watts power handling capacity at 4 ohm cab (8 ohm available). The biggest feature to me was the weight. It is under 80 pounds and much easier to haul around than some comprable cabs.

Sound Quality : 10
I use a Conklin GT4, an older Fender MB5 with an Aguilar OPB1 preamp and an inexpensive Upright with Underwood tranducer and Fishman EQ. The cab is fairly quiet. The tweeter is noisy at high levels, but this is the case with most tweeters. I like the clarity of this cab even when pushing more lows. I have not pushed the cab to extremes so I can't really comment on distortion at high levels.

Reliability : 9
I have had for a short time, but so far no problems. I have used it on three gigs and it performed well in each situation. I do not expect any reliability issues.

Customer Support : 10
The customer service fellow at Avatar is awesome. I e-mailed him several times and also spoke with him on the phone a few times. He is very responsive and informative.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for about 12 years. I was using some Trace Elliot and some cheap Crate equipment that has ok sound and a lot reliabilty. I am now using the Avatar cab for gigs and the other gear for practices. If this were lost or stolen I would definitely buy another. The main thing that swayed me over to Avatar was price and customer reviews. Even though I rated some categories in the 9's...for the price I give this a 10. I don't know of another value like this in the bass cab market. Now if they will only start making amps to match with their cabs-I'l be set.

2 Eminence Delta LF 12" and a Foster Compression horn, horn level control, 2 1/4" jacks. Fully carpeted, deep recessed handles, steel grill, plastic corners. The 8 ohm cab handles 1000 watts and is tuned to 50 hz, with -3db at 50 hz. I play a variety of music, including Rock, Funk, and some Jazz.

Sound Quality : 10
I play mostly a Fender Jazz with passive pickups into a Gallien-Krueger BL250 which I use as a pre-amp only to drive a Nady XA900 power amp @ 400 watts. The sound is full, clean, accurate. Not boomy or mushy at all. The highs are very high with the tweeter level all the way up.

Reliability : 10
I just received the amp 3 days ago. When I unpacked it I found everything to be in order. It was well packed and all screws were tight. This will be the only cab I gig with.

Customer Support : 10
I called Dave twice and emailed him another question before making my decision to buy this cab. He was very helpful on the phone and quick to respond to my email. The warranty is a full year with a 14 day return for refund policy.

Overall Rating : 10
THE VERY BEST CAB for the money you can get!
