New 212 Eminence Deltas with adjustable Foster horn in a front ported cab. Would be great to have banana jacks or twist lock connectors but the 1/4 inch does the job.

I play a wide variety from blues to hard rock and use a Warwick Streamer LX-4 with active pickups. The amp is an SWR SM-400S. The volume and fullness of the sound has to be heard to be believed! I've never been a fan of 15's and always thought that 10's lacked bottom, 12's are a perfect solution. You get the bottom of a 15 with the clarity and ballsiness of 10's in a single, relatively portable package (70 pounds.) This Avatar 212 was purchased based a lot on the reviews given other Avatars on this website. I couldn't have made a better choice. As I told Dave at Avatar "talk about bang for the buck, this is more like a nuclear explosion!" The 212 has all the bottom I could ever want and with the horn, can get as bright as I'll ever possibly need. At 700 watts power handling, and the efficiency of the front ported cabinet, it is certainly loud enough and if I need more, well I guess I'll just get another one! I've been playing bass for more than 25 years and have owned Eden, Ampeg, Swr, Fender, Hartke, and others and truly believe that the Avatar 212 is at least equal to any of them in sound quality and build. I know many out there will argue with that but this cabinet is the closest to "my sound" that I have ever been. Hats off to you Dave, I personally think you have a winner!

Cab is brand new with a 14 day return policy and a 1 year warranty. Is built as sturdy as any other cab on the market and better than most. Unless it falls out of the back of my truck, I can't see why I would ever have to worry about its reliability but then again, I've not had it long enough to worry so I can only give it a 9!

I have been in contact with Dave via e-mail and he has been exceptionally professional and courteous. Has responded to each e-mail promptly and has allowed me to express some personal ideas to him. Dave is a true credit to his business in an age where Customer Service seems to be an oxymoron.

As stated above, I've been playing for over 25 years and have been through my share of equipment. I believe that if this cab were stolen, I'd cuss alot then go buy another. Its sound matches my style perfectly and while I would love to have two, I can't see really needing one becasue of its volume and power handling. Didn't get the casters with mine but will definitely be installing a set! If you aren't a slave to name-brands and are simply looking for the best sound you can have, then I would highly recommend giving an Avatar a try, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!

I was very anxious to receive this cabinet. I have always liked the idea of the versatility of 2 12's. Well, it buzzed a fluttered a lot when I first tried it out. I had heard about Avatar's having loose speakers and sure enough they all needed tightening. After this the sound tightened up a lot. I seems to ve a very effecient cabinet (compared to my Edens) and puts out a lot of volume with a B2R head. It will handle the B string as long as the bass is not cranked. It really carries the mids and highs well without the tweeter on. When teamed with an Eden 115T it sounds even better. For smaller gigs and practice it will work well all by itself. Very impressive for the price.

Brand new. The speaker screws (wood screws) needed tightening. I emailed Dave and asked if i could replace the screws with bolts and not void the warranty and he promptly replied that it was okay to do that. He also appoligized about the loose screws.

I have been playing 30+ years and wanted a 1 cabinet soulution without breaking my back or wallet. I have been using an Eden 115T and 210XLT paired up. I think the 115 and 212 give more volume and BASS. At about 70 lbs. it is a little heavy but the casters help. I would buy from Avatar again if another cabinet is needed.
