I play in a Hardcore metal band. I use a Warwick Corvette (Active electronics) and Spector NS2000 (also active). Both of them are tuned low B to D. I run an SWR WorkingPro 400 head into this cab.
The music we play is loud and heavy. This cabinet takes my low B and more. Even if I use a distortion box, it just sounds amazing.

I can't say enough about Avatar's customer service. I wish all companies would be this way.

Not much to say. This cabinet really speaks for itself. For the price, you just can't beat this deal.
If anything ever happened to this cabinet, I would absolutely buy another one without hesitation.

I bought my first B212 used @ a store for 250.00 as a replacement for a lighter weight altenative to an Ampeg 610hlf. I'm getting too old to move a cab that big on my own and had been using a Mesa 4x10 with my SVT-CL which belonged to the drummer of the band I was in at the time that I just plain hated. I bought the 2nd for 200 from a friend who asked me to play bass in my current band because he wanted to go back to playing guitar. He'd bought that one on my recommendation.

I play loud, fast, straight out Rock N'Roll in the vein of AC/DC, Motorhead, Backyard Babies & Monster Magnet and need lots of bottom and punch and these cabs more than deliver. I get a lot of compliments on the sound in conjunction with My SVT. It's 1000 watts @ 4 ohms an with my 300 watt, all tube SVT I'm underpowering it but it sounds HUGE!!! I disconnected the horns in both cabs just because I don't need them (I don't play anything that high up on the fretboard!)
They have a speakon jack which is a big plus for me as I perfer that connection for my head but the cab is also wired in Parallel which makes adding a cab easy

I gig pretty regularly with either cab and have recorded with them and they've been trouble free so far and consistently sound great. I don't intentionally beat on my gear but I don't baby it either and these cabs have held up well except one cab has pulls in the carpet cover thanks to one of my cats!! They are well built and pretty solid.

I did email Avatar a couple of times and they got back to me in a timely manner. Haven't needed their Customer Service for anything more than a question or 2 but I get the feeling they stand behind their products

I've been playing off and on for 20 years, on for the last 7 years straight. I did alot of research on Avatar and the ratings were pretty impressive. I'd replace both of these cabs with the very same ones if god forbid they were lost or stolen. I may upgrade to one with Tolex covering in a while. For the price, these are a awesome value and pretty solid proof that you don't need to take out a 2nd mortgage to have great gear. I think especially for a beginner starting out in a band situation, paired with a good head these cabs are a real value.
I recommend them highly whenever asked.

I recently purchased a new Avatar B 212 bass cabinet with 2 Eminence Delta 12 LF speakers. I was interested in finding a reasonably priced bass cab that used 2 12 inch speakers. This cabinet is well made, sounds great and is really a good deal, when you compare it to other manufacturers' prices. I use this for medium to small rooms with an Ampeg SVT CL head and it has a deeper fatter sound than the ampeg 410 HF cabinet that I had been using. For bigger rooms I may use it either with a 1-15" bottom or the Ampeg 410. The really big stuff gets the 810 treatment. Otherwise it's what I was looking for sonically and construction. They don't come with wheels,so a quick trip to Home Depot and that was that.

I play rock and jazz mostly and I have a Lakland 5502 5 string and a modified Fender Jazz bass that has EMG pickups. I play mostly finger style. I think this cabinet does a great Job representing the inherent sounds of these different sounding basses. I was looking for a punchy and deep sound and this cabinet delivers. The 5 string and low B sound perfect.
I play it pretty loud with the SVT head and it holds together pretty well. I usually run the eq flat with that head and I found I had to cut back on the bass control a little so it wouldn't be too boomy.

I used it for 4 gigs and a bunch of rehearsals with no problems. I use it without a back up as the eminence speakers are fairly rugged speakers, so I don't worry about it. The tweeter is fine when dialed to the correct setting. I think that's a taste thing , anyway.
I replaced the wood screws holding the speakers in place with T nuts more for my peace of mind. The wood screws were tight, but I think they'd rattle themselves loose eventually. The construction is very good and it's surprising considering the cost of the cabinet.

I haven't had to deal with the company since I spoke with them on the phone to buy it. It was an easy transaction and I think a warranty claim wouldn't be an issue. The 1 year warrany on the speakers seems a little short, but buying replacement drivers wouldn't be costly anyway. The authorized service center is in Idaho or Washington-not around the corner for me.

I have been playing 30+ years. I have a few electric basses and an upright bass. I have a few other cabinets and in addition to the SVT CL, I have some power amp/preamp setups I use as well. If it were lost or stolen, I'd be bummed but I'd replace it eventually.
I think the weight is what you'd expect for a wooden cabinet with two medium weight speakers- about 75 lbs and pretty managable. The handles are in a good spot for one or two people to lift and carry it. It's a pretty good product and the price is amazing when you compare to an Aguillar, Bergantino, etc.

The cab was made in 2005. I purchased it in November and have had it for four months. The Eminence Delta LF's bring the RMS wattage to 1000 (500 per spkr). I ordered the 4 ohm format. I feel that the rear input panel is laid out in a very logical, straightforward manner which makes total sense if you have seen the rear inputs of other cabs. The Tweeter knob works like every other manufacturer without the fancy instruction sticker. I play finger style and like a very warm, fat sound. I also have an Eden 212XLT and a 210XLT and due to the love of my original 12's, I opted for the B212. The Avatar has everything that my Eden has for about a third the price, and more power handling (1000w RMS vs. 400w RMS).

When the cab was new I liked it, though it didn't impress me more than my Eden 212. Now that I have played it enough to break-in the speakers, it seems to have a deeper voice without the crisp harshness in the Eden. I find that the tweeter in my Avatar is quiet and needs to be turned up past halfway to make the highs come alive, but it isn't even 3/4 of he way up. I play a Carvin LB75 with a j99 and their MM p/u as well asa Mexican P-bass with Duncan Quarter Pounders. I have 2 heads, an Eden WT800 and an Ashdown Mag 300. The cab responds great with both heads and both basses. When I play my WT800 with my Eden and Avatar 212's inside my house, the neighbors can tell what I am playing with all doors closed! Being still young and a bit stupid, this makes me smile, and it feels great! The Eden cabs will be going soon to be replaced with more stuff from Avatar.

If you have read more than one review, you have heard about Dave. He and his whole staff (1 or 2 other guys I think) are great and make me want to buy from them again, even if the quality of the product wasn't as good as it is. I feel thatwith them you get great stuff and great support, nothing more can be asked for.

I have been playing for 11 years, and my other gear was referenced above. I would definately buy this again without a thought if it were lost or stolen. I love its punch and the way that it makes me vibrate, as well as the whole room/house/church when I play. I was skeptical of all these glowing reviews until I bought one myself!

I just received my Avatar B212 DELTA LFs bass cab rated at 4 ohms and will be posting my Bergantino HT322, HT115, HT112 and EX112 on Ebay shortly.
The cab produces the best rainbow of responses - Period. I dont want to get into the technical jargon of frequency responses and how it handles this at that. Get a life! With my Sadowsky 5 this cab supports great lows when I am playing salsa with a 10 piece band, while humping incredible vintage sounds playing R&B. For the modern jazz side of me I do my best MM impersonation with slaps and pops jumping by regulating the Foster tweeter horn. For my Wed night open Blues jam at Jimmy's Seaside in Stamford CT this cab cranks out some sweet mids to low ranges using my 62 re-issue and 4 string jazz.

If you been wondering I am using individually a Walter Woods Blue Light and get this a new Kustom Groove HD at 1200 watts @ 2 / 750 @ 4 and 550 @ 8 ohms. The cab is creaming with joy with the over head. I was so happy with the 2x12 cab I bought on Ebay a Avatar 8 ohm 12" cab. With power ampsI have I can do any venue through NYC and Westchester County without worrying whether I can handle first 30 to 75 feet of any room.
