Using along with Hartke 5000 model bass head, and Conklin 7 string bass equipped with Bartolini's. This cab goes well with my rig. I use a Tech21 RB-1 Overdrive so I turn the horn down so that the cab won't feedback. When Overdrive is not used I turn the horn up to about a 5ish rating to get a nice clean tone. I have only noticed a slight rattle from the grille which I had forgot to replace one of the rubber gaskets under the screw used to hold the grille in place(And I fixed that). With the speakers I used this cab sounds great over all. There was carpeting glued to the inside which helps cut down on crackling of the cab and vibrations.

I purchased this cab after losing my Ampeg 8x10" in a flood. I have found this cab sounds very close to that of the Ampeg. I used my own custom speakers for this cab. I have used this cab in many high output practices with no problems at all. I also love the fact this cab is made to stand up against anything but an openflame ! 3/4 Plywood no particle board which my Ampeg was made with. This cab has become my number 1 4x10"

Dave has helped me time and time again. We are working out details on my next cab. Avatar is going back to a full face grille which I am a fan of. I have emailed Dave some many times and he has always been helpful with info. When I bought my 4x10" Dave sent me info on Ohm's and he included a second set of 5" deep vent ports for free so I could tune the cab as my speakers may have needed something different than the standard 1" ports

I've been playing bass for 10 years now and I am very happy with this cab. I've owned Trace Elliot, Ampeg, Crate, and Hughes&kettner 4x10" 's and I will only be going back to Avatar to make any new purchases. Dave, will work with you on any needs or questions. I'm going to try and talk Dave into making me a 18" cab to match my 4x10"
There is no way to beat the quality, value, or service you can get from Avatar.

Hi, I'm Dave, owner of Avatar Speakers. We manufacture the Avatar 410 bass cab for which there are reviews in this site. One misinformed reviewer of our 410 made statements of facts which are untrue and they must be corrected. He states the 410 does not have 56 oz magnets in the speakers like 'we said'. No where in any of our sites or ebay does it say that the 410 has 56 oz magnets. The B410 clearly states that is has Eminence Beta 10's with 34 oz magnets (misinformed reviewer states 42 oz. magnets..wrong again). Our B210 HAS the 56 oz magnets and this person obviously confused the two different bass cabs or did not read it correctly. The B410 web price is now $249 which is an excellent value for Eminence 10's, Fostex tweeter, and plywood construction. (B210 $199.) All of our cabs come with a money back guarantee..why didn't this person call me? We have had many more positive reviews in our ebay feedbacks so please check those out. If anyone needs 'correct' info on any Avatar product, I answer the phone at 208.762.5251 after 10 am Pacific Time or you can contact me at AvatarSpeakers.com Thanks..Dave

I use it with a peavey MkIV 400W head. I have to disagree with both of the previous reviewers. This cabinet is very well set to give you an excellent bass sound. When I play Bass I am playing Metal mainly, but I always play with a clean punchy tone, but still with a good dose of Bottom end. There is a pot for adjustment of the Horn volume and I think this is where the first reviewer missed out by dialing the Horn volume in properly you can get just the right amount of punch, and besides if all you want is a really booming low end why the hell did you go for a 4x10 anyway, go for a 15". If the eq is set to have a moderate amount of top end and the horn vlume is set way up then yes you will get distortion, but that is why the pot is included.
I have used many different set-ups including Ampeg SVT3s and their 8x10 cabs etc, and I find I am most happy with the peavey and this cab. The sound has been complemented on many a time.

Absolutely Bomb proof, had it about 8 months and lugged the thing all over, had it flying around in the back of a truck , and banged all over the place to gigs. Never failed and still looks good thanks to the corner protectors.
I would recommend fitting castors, I did this straight away and it makes life a lot easier.
The cats also think it makes a good scratching post thanks to the Carpet covering, which hold up pretty well to their nightly abuse.

Not sure when it was made but i bought it new and I haven't owned it that long, about 7 months. It has 4 10" eminence speakers. Look at www.eminence.com for specs on the beta 10. I bought this cab on ebay fom the company. They said that these speakers have 56 oz. magnets. THEY DO NOT have 56 oz magnets but rather 42oz(yeah i'm a bit angry). This cab is worth what i payed (a steal at $190) but i wouldnt pay the $360 that they want. It also has a horn.

This cab does not like bass. Actually sounded really good with my dad playing guitar through it. The cab only sound decent if i run a x-over and turn the bass control on a -12 on my firebass 700 (by peavey). If you need lots of bass get a peavey 4x10. If you do put a lot of bass through it you can hear the voice coils bottom out and hit the magnet(NOT GOOD!). I will admitt that i have gotten a good tone out of it but its still a pretty weak cab. I think if they used the speakers that they specified this cab would unbeatable but they didn't. The contruction is nice. They didn't put any insulation or dampening material in it though so i did that myself and the cab sounded a LOT better. It is rated for 600 w rms. The Horn is really noisy so i dont use it much.

I have depended on it for several shows and it hasnt failed. But in order to get it loud enough i have to cut the bass and sacrifice the tone considerably. It is dependable, though.

Been playing for 5 years. I have built my own bass cabs and they are very comparable to this one. Over all this cab might be worth $300. It would make a good addition to a biamp rig where you have a 15 or 18 to go along with it, but i dont consider it a stand alone unless your just at practice or something small.
