Metal grill, heavy duty construction, Speakon and (2) 1/4" inputs for daisy-chaining, 4 Eminence Kappa Pro 10" speakers, black carpet covering, bottom ported, Foster horn with level control, etc. AMAZING sound and FREAKING LOUD!!! This cab is incredible!

This thing will thump. So far, it has handled everything I've thrown at it. For right now, I'm running an Ernie Ball MusicMan and a 350 watt Ampeg into it about 1/4 volume (for rehearsals) and it flat thumps. Thick, punchy, deep, tight bass.

Here's my only gripe...When we got it and plugged it in, any time you would get down on the strings, the cab would totally fart. It sounded like we had a blown speaker. Turns out, one of the speakers was wired out-of-phase with the rest, so it sounded totally crappy. But after I discovered what was wrong and fixed it, it made the whole band's jaws drop! Now, I don't have any concerns.

Dave was great through the whole issue with the speaker. We initially thought that it was possibly a bad speaker, and Dave was going to ship me a brand new one once I located the problem. If that wasn't it, he was going to pay for me to take it to a repair shop and fix whatever was wrong with it. Amazing customer support, the likes of which I have NEVER seen ANYWHERE. No lie!

Avatar makes incredible equipment worthy of a boutique status, but at a price working musicians like myself can afford. The customer service is literally second to absolutely none in the industry. I fully intend to by several more cabs from Avatar. However, I'm only going to give the overall rating an 8 on this one simply because the out-of-phase speaker issue. It's a simple mistake that could easily happen at the factory, but it should have been picked up by testing the cab before shipping. I'm not going to give it a 6 or 7 however because Dave's customer service was so excellent and because one the problem was corrected, it is an AMAZING cab!

My pro 410 cab is about 8 months old, i play all styles of music, from experimental to indie rock to jazz to metal to praise and worship. This cab is good for any style of music. it has a foster horn in it i believe. and kappa pro eminence tens.. there is a level on the back allowing you to turn up the horn if you so desire, but i havent messed with that too much with a four string because i am so amazed with the tone of tens without it.

i play with a fender pbass lyte deluxe, and a carvin claro walnut six string.. the fender lyte bass lacks in lows at times but this cab allows plenty of room for beefy low tone from a small body light weight bass... the avatar allows me to not shy away from the b string often the low b is muddy and rumbly and cannot provide a fat clear tone, the pro 410 makes it fat.. it handles the high c in the upper register nicely too, i turn up the horn for this its nice and crisp highs. i power it with a carvin b500 head, and that amp cant push the avatar nearly enough to its potential. i am amazed the tone is so good out of this cab.

This thing is very well built. i am not worried about it breaking down i do not have a back up cabinet and honestly dont think i will need one i am in a band and lead worship at churches and in side projects i gig 2 to 3 times a week and this thing will probably last longer than i will.. it is very heavy 95 pounds i believe. it leans to the front when you pick it up from the side handles because of the heavy duty magnets on it. dont make the mistake i did and forget to order casters with it. its a back breaker. but i will carry it anywhere because i love this thing.

i have been playing bass for 3 years but have come a very long way. i have played through ampeg cabinets as well as swr and gk's.. i honestly do not think they beat avatars tone, durability, and price. i do not think it can be done... i would never lose this thing i cant get away from it. im about to buy another one as a matter of fact. just to have another one with casters as if one isnt enough.. but the price is so low and quality is so good its definitly worth it. i reccomend this to anyone and everyone looking for a good 410 cab.

I play a 5 string Warwick Infinity SN-SansAmp RBI- dBX 160A Compressor- Carvin DCM1500 power amp. In my 18 years of bass playing experience I've played just about everything out there. Needless to say I was a little skeptical when I read the glowing reviews on these cabs. OH MY was I impressed when I ran this cab full-on 1500 watts mono bridged. This cab is freakin' LOUD!!! It did'nt even baulk at the wattage, nice! And what's more (and IMHO the most important) the B string was TIGHT!

Don't curse me for the 7!!! Yes Dave was very helpful, kind, courteous, and informative. However, I had called and left a message with an important question about my order and he never got back to me.
Does this sway my buying another cab from him? No. Just would have been nice for him to follow-up with his customer post-sale.

I find it funny to see Nikki Sixx in the Basson ads bragging that his 8x10 can handle 2000 watts o' power. My 4x10 will handle the same and cost about 1/3 the price! You can't touch thi performance/price of this cab with anything else on the market! PERIOD!

4 x 10 Em Kappa Pro's... 1 Horn... hard wood cab... 2000 watt handling. you know the drill. Has speakons and standard connections... plus a level knob for the horn. I also got the matching 2 x 10 cab so I can have a tidy 6 x 10 stack. I play hard rock. Use a new Ampeg SVT-1000 head. The Ampeg pushes 1000 watts at 4 ohms. I blew the speakers out of my Ampeg Cab in 5 minutes. So I called Dave. Got what I needed. Also have a smaller older 200 watt SWR that I will use with just the 4 x 10 for small venues. The Cab is built solid. The control plate on the back is a bit flimsy, but I have not had any issues... great handles. Got the casters from Dave too.

These cabs sound great. The horns kind of suck... crackly and scratchy when you push a bunch of power through the cabs... but I always turn the horns off anyway... so for me it did not matter. I play original hard rock... not funk or jazz.. so the horns are useless for me anyway. They sound okay a low volumes.. but as i said, moot point for me. The Eminence Kappa speakers rock... they handle a ton of power and dont even break a sweat. They have a ton of high end (again.. making the horns a waste) and tons of low end balls. Huge range for a cabinet of this type. I have a hartke 4x10 as well, and it sounds like crap compared to the Avatars. I have Ric 4001's, Fender P style, and Ibanez 5 String basses. Some passive and some active. With a P-style with Seymour Quarter Pounders, this rig hits its sweet spot. tons of bass balls with plenty of high definition on top. When i was shopping for this rig, i compared it to Epifani, Begantino, Eden, Carvin... Basically the only 4x10 cabs I could find that could handle over a thousand watts. I took a chance and ordered the Avatar cabs sight unseen based on the reputation and the H-C reviews... I was very pleased with the results. They sound as good or better than any of the others I tried for a lot less dough.

So far so good. I am a once a month gigger... so they have been out a few times so far... I dont anticipate any issues... built like a tank. The Kappas are virtually indesctructable... The only minor concern is the cheesy control plate in the back, but it seems stable enough... others in guitar cab section have reported them bending, etc. I am not too worried about any issues...

Brand new from the factory, same speakers/features as the others have stated. Just adding to the cause, Avatar really is wonderful. This is my second cab from Avatar, I purchased the older rear-ported B115H cabinet a couple years ago, and fell in love.

Im playing a Yamaha RBX760 with soapbar pups through either and Ampeg B2R or a pre/power rack setup consisting of Tech 21 Sansamp RBI through QSC RMX power..... depending on the size of show. It sounds wonderful, and the cabinets do not color the sound much at all. you get your true tone, from the bass and amp. I play in a techmetal/hardcore band, and the tone is wonderful, but I have also played in indie, and jazz bands. This cab handles more than I can throw at it.

Been playing for a few years now. I used to play through peavey BW cabs, avatar beats it out. Ive also played shows with the Ampeg Fridge (8x10) and while that is obviously thunderous, the avatar holds its own at a fraction of the price. If it were stolen or lost Id get another one. I love everything about it, except that I dont have every avatar cab they make.

B410 Kappa Pro - same speakers and such as listed below. 2004 brand new direct from Dave over at the factory in Idaho. He owns the place - you call and he answers!
These cabs are fricking solid! I have driven mine with my Peavey Firebass until windows literally shook and the cops came! Not a single rattle, buzz or speaker failure yet. I had mine wired for 4 ohms (Dave will wire them as you wish - another outstanding reason to buy from him). I could have it wired at 2 ohms but the B212 cab I have from Avatar is at 4 so I stuck with that.
The tweeter has a backmounted volume control to help match the size area you play. Neat. Inputs are 2 1/4" plugs plus 1 Speakon input and all are wired parallel.
Handles are he-man rated, input panel in back is steel. You can buy a caster kit from him - I did and I am glad.
I play hard rock, blues and Zeppelin-esque metal. It sounds great with all.

I play with a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Precision, Washburn T24 Taurus neck-thru, Guild Pilot, Dean Edge 1, Charvel Fusion - all set up with passive pick-ups.
These cabs can take the watts and still purr. Any sound your amp can dish up comes through. Between the cab and the Firebass head even the old Dean Edge 1 sounds killer!

A year and a half old, played daily either in practice or gigs - never a single problem. I can, and do, play without any backup other than the B212 I take with it. Either one could stand alone and fill the bill.

Never had to deal with a problem. But if I did I know Dave would handle it. Plus - I ordered this cab one afternoon and the next afternoon it was on my porch. I live in Washington State and I'm close to Avatar in ID. But only UPS stands between you and the best damned speaker cab bargain on the market. If Dave has it when you call, it goes out that same day unless it's past UPS pickup and then it goes the next day without fail.

Playing off & on since 1964. I own too much stuff. If this cab were stolen or crushed by a runaway rhino I would be on the phone to Avatar before the dust settled. It's industrial-style beautiful. I have had Fender Bassman's, Sunn's, Kustom's, Alamo's and a Vox. None of their cabs could outdo this and a few sucked in comparison in sound and build quality. Do yourself and your amp a favor - buy Avatar and spend the savings on more toys. Er - I mean give the money you saved to your wife, OK?

I'm using my cabinets with an American Fender Jazzbass and an Ampeg B4-R head and these cabinets take full force of my thousand watt head with no problem. I love coupling a 4-10 cabinet with a single 15 cabinet under it. You almost get 2 distinct sounds at the same time. You get the punch and clarity of the 4-10 cabinet and still get that OLD SCHOOL slightly delayed low end out of the 1-15 cabinet. Great combination.

Its taken me longer to mail a letter across town.

I have been playing for about thirty years and I haven't found anything that comes close to these cabinets for the price. I would have to pay about double to get the same stuff from Ampeg of SWR.If my cabs were lost or stolen I would definately replace them with the same (after an appropriate amount of time for mourning)

2005 B410 Kappa Pro with the new front ported jammy - 4 HEAVY DUTY fat-ass magnets on these brandy-new Eminence Kappa PRO 10" bass speakers combined with a Foster High Frequency Horn Tweeter for unbelievably SICK bass response (I own a Conklin 7 string beast & it never sounded so SWEET) I can play anything thru this puppy - extremely versatile cab that has 2 1/4" jacks and a Speakon connector wired in parallel - I have the 8 ohm model - I wanted room for another 8 ohm cab (the Avatar 15 cab is next on my "must-have" list) I've used this with a few different Solid State Amps (an Ashdown head on loan from my buddy as well as a Behringer BX3000...which itself is surprisingly good) and my older Carvin Tube head (a 95' Valvemaster tube head) a Guitarists amp but it sounds f***ing brillant for bass using the clean channel. That combined with a SansAmp Bass Driver DI (everyone should get one of these - a bassist's tone heaven in a box) and I'm good to go!

You can get EVERY sound out of these - literally! I've been playing since 1975 (I'm getting up there kiddies) I have tried just about EVERY cab on the market, from my old Ampeg SVTs w/8x10's cab (still love it) to older Sunn systems to newer boutique over-priced craploa, these cabs kick the living S*** out of the competition. I am fortunate to have the luxury to indulge my gear-lust and have side by side comparisons, nothing comes even vaguely close to these puppys, its sick really! These cabs are so well built, the workmenship on them is first-rate. The clarity of this 4x10 is phenomenal, I have NEVER heard a better 4x10 cab in my life! Crystal clear when you need it, yet if you so choose to push these with a high powered tube amp, they can take the punishment (huge 80 oz. magnets, large 3 inch voice coils-these puppies can each handle 500watts for a total of 2000) I play straight ahead Rock, I use my Conklins and my never ending collection of Jazz Basses and they all sound so full thru this cab!

I cannot imagine these ever needing to be serviced (although, you never know) so far so good. These are built like a brick house covered by solid steel and guarded by a fleet of Tanks. If I turned up my amp any louder, this 4x10 cab could easily kill my cat, he would go flying from the pressure created by this cab in full form (so much power - absurdly loud & clear)

been playing forever and thought I'd seen it all! I give this a perfect 10 simply because its worth every penny I paid for it! Nothing else out there is as good for the money, the sound & build quality - all top notch stuff from Avatar. Speaker cab manufactures are notoriously bad for marking up their prices, the rest of over-priced schmucks build their gear and charge way more than they have too! Dave at Avatar realized this ages ago and decided to produce a great product and charge a reasonable amount for it. Not only would I replace this if it were stolen, I take out a hit on the dude who dared to steal my 4x10 kappa pro (just kidding of course) >8 )

I have a Spector Euro 5 bass using a Carvin R1000 bass head. This cab can handle the 1000 watts easily and still has room for more before distorting. Very clean sound when I want... and raunchy as hell when i smack on the bass overdrive. And believe it or not, it puts out a huge amount of bass, way more than the $1000 Ampeg cabs. It responds to everything i do. The greatest sounding cab to ever hit the market, and trust me, I shopped around. Try 2 years of shopping around.
