Made in 2004. 4 Ohms. Eminence Kappa Pro LF 15" speaker. Two 1/4" jacks. Recessed side handles, black carpet covering, expanded metal grille. Approximately 50 lbs (very light for a 15!).

Sound Quality : 10
I bought this cab to augment my Avatar CB112. I'm running it with a Sansamp Bass Driver DI (as a preamp) into a Behringer EP1500 power amp. The CB112 sounds better as a stand-alone cabinet, but its sound is greatly beefed up by the addition of the CB115. The CB115 sounds nice and strong by itself, just not as full-range and pretty as the CB112 (which is a superb cab, by the way). The 2 cabs make a great pair, capable of some seriously deep, strong, and articulate bass. I play a variety of styles on Fender Precision and (5-string) Jazz basses, and this rig can handle anything I ask of it.

Reliability : No Opinion
I haven't had it long enough to judge reliability, but it sure seems to be put together well, and it looks and feels solid and tough.

Dave is a great guy to work with; he's friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and seemed genuinely interested in my happiness. This is the second time I've dealt with Dave and I recommend him without reservation. Customer service at its best!

I've been playing bass for 30 years. I would definitely buy this cab again. It's a great value, it sounds great, and it can get very loud without breaking a sweat. And I can carry it with one hand and stick it in the trunk of a car. It fits my needs perfectly.

2003 model. This is one of the first Compact 15's with the front port. Loaded with an Eminence Kappa Pro 600 watt speaker. Recessed handles. Diamond grille. Check

Sound Quality : 10
I play mostly 80s alternative rock and alt-country styles. This cab can handle all styles from clean to distorted to slap and pop. I play though a Gallien-Krueger 400 RB-III head without a compressor or limiter and and the Avatar can handle it all.

Reliability : 10
Have gigged or rehearsed with it every week for the last six months and looks like it will last.

Dave is a very friendly guy and happily answered all my questions.

Would definitely get another one if it were lost or stolen. You can't beat the combination of size, weight, performance and value. Avatar puts out quality products at great prices and they care about their customers. Thanks Dave!

2003 Avatar CB115 1x15" Bass Speaker cabinet. This cabinet seems very rugged while keeping excess weight from stressing your back! I play mainly jazz and am looking for some progressive rock type situation, so I got this so it would suit both styles well. Side metal recessed handles make it easy to lift. Weighs about 50 pounds. Not too heavy. Fedex shipped this as a 45 pound unit... The only thing I dont like is the lack of words on the back. I didn't know if those were two inputs on the back or one input and one output, but whatever. Front slot ported at the bottom with a plastic grill... No tweeter, but for an extra $30 bucks you can get one included in your cab from Dave.

Sound Quality : 10
I haven't been able to crank this unit yet, but from the sounds of it I can tell this cabinet will rock out pretty loud for its size. So far the cabinet is handling a 5 string nicely, and I can imagine some sweet sounds coming from my upright bass with this cabinet. Im using this as a stand alone unit and it seems like it will produce the low end quite well. However I'd reccomend pairing this with Dave's CB112 cabinet for those highs, it really lacks in the upper registers, but if you keep your EQ as equal as possible it'll sound awesome. Quiet, no noise when not playing. It does it's job, it's a sub, and Im gonna add some smaller drivers for the highs.

Reliability : 10
This seems reliable. I can depend on this... It seems like the speaker can handle a lot of power without crapping out on you.

Dave Noss is a great dealer. He'll answer his phones, answer his email, he'll even slice prices lower if you ask nicely. However, if your not tight on money, I'd reccomend paying full price, he's worth it. I paid $185 + $29 shipping

I've been playing music for several years and have been playing bass for 4 years. This is by far the best rig for the price and will blow so many combos that go for $900 out of the water. I'd buy this cab if it were stolen, or even if it crapped out on me. Its a great cab, and I think Im going to add his 12" cab with the tweeter to add some highs in. This is pretty loud for a single speaker and it handles low end nicely. I love its ability to turn up! I'm pushing 240 watts at 8 ohms from a hartke 3500 head and its loud. If your looking at bargain hartke rigs, get the hartke amp and close the door on their cabs. Avatar cabs are a better bargain and they are 10x better than hartke VX model cabs.
