Features : No Opinion
Mid-90s, 400W RMS @ 4 ohms, 800W peak, 2x10", 50Hz-6kHz, 100db SPL, double rear ports, insulated, banana & 1/4" jacks, metal grill and deep red carpet covering, 18"H x 22"W x 12"D, 54 lbs. This is the non-coax, non-deep version.

I think Bag End is very conservative on their range specs; the bass response for this cabinet is quite good, probably the best commerically available cab of this size. As with other reviewers of this series (such as the S15-D), I found it to be more than powerful enough to compete with drums, loud guitar halfstacks, etc.

Sound Quality : 8
It doesn't really color the sound, but it does seem to like a little more power behind it. Would certainly be suitable for jazz, rock, or really whatever you wanted to use it for.

In my current config, I run a Fender Jazz with Active Basslines pups into an Eden WT405, and then into the Bag End. What can I say? Clear, loud, a good, balanced sound. Quiet as a mouse, hum-wise.

I play in a hardcore/emo type band, and it is certainly suitable. The only consideration to be made is probably image ... it would have enough volume for a small club show or any practice, but how tough would you look with a little cab small enough to be a combo? :)

Reliability : 9
I'm pretty sure these things are built to last. The jacks do seem a bit loose, but it looks to have taken a good bit of abuse and ultimately triumphed. I don't think I'll have to worry about this guy breaking on me.

Got it used. Never dealt with them. Their website has a lot of good info, though.

Overall Rating : 8
I got this to replace a monstrous 15 + 12 + 10 cab. Combined with my Eden amp, I gained sound quality and volume in the exchange; all I lost was the unwieldy size and a bit of $$$.

There are certainly better sounding cabinets out there. A 2x10" is not going to quite have the oomph of a 1x18" or an 8x10". But for the size, and probably for the price, there is not a better cabinet available, as far as I'm concerned.
