Fairly Simple design. A cabinet not much bigger than the speaker. 15 inch eminence speaker (designed by bag end I heard) loaded in a very sturdy box with a hole in the back. I actually own two of these guys. The weight makes it a winner at 44lbs. Put it 6-12 inches from a wall and it sounds like it should way 100lbs

Sound Quality : 9
I love the sound!
Nice projection, How does this big sound come out of something so little and so simple? No chrips from the speaker, no distortion, just tone. I run either a GK400RB or a GK800rb through it and can be easily heard. I actually use 2 of them as very focused sub woofers fo rmy little PA.

Outside you loose a little bottom based on the fact there is now wall giving you extra UMPh!

I have the older black carpet model.....2 qtr inch ins and a banana jack.I bought it in 1996 and it is still kicking butt....

Sound Quality : 10
I play fender basses. My trusty maple neck P-bass, my fretless tele bass and a brand new american 5 string jazz bass......I have played every kind of bass head thru this thing. trace, G-K, my old traynor 100 watt P.A. amp with a sans amp....and my new monster ampeg svt 3pro......the cab works well with all....works great with a 5 string bass....
very tight well defined bottom and lots of highs for no tweeter.....no rattles at high volume....I play everything from low volume country to full on AC/DC...bars, clubs, theatres and bigger....

Reliability : 9
I only had a problem once....the little wires that run from the connectors to the voice coil crossed and fused together....I thought I had blown up the speaker but my tech pulled the wires apart and problem solved....I have since shrunk wrapped the 2 little wires and have had no further problems.....

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to deal with them....dunno

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing bass for 25 years....I tried alot of 4 ten cabinets and some 1x15 cabinets as well......I was looking for something small that I could fit in the front seat of a toyota.....I was surprised when I heard this cabinet compared to other cabs....tons of bottom for it's size and enough highs for no tweeter....after gigging with this cab for over 8 years now I am very happy with it...lately I have been running it with my ampeg svt 3pro and the sound is awesome....real glassy highs and lots of the low stuff....I use it as a stand alone cab and it will compete with a loud drummer no problem....
I get looks from guitar players with their 4x12 marshall cabs because this cab is so small....until they hear it...nuff said
drummers love this cab because it is so tight sounding....other bass players can't believe it doesn't have a tweeter.....this is the best piece of gear I have ever owned...period
I would not hesitate to buy another one.....

I run my 2 BAG ENDs with a 120Watt Vintage Orange Amp for guitar and I also ran an Ampeg SVT head through them.

I have been at the pro music thing for 17 years. I have owned and played almost everything. I have had many great amps and I am not going to say anything about them being inferior. I first looked at the Bag End cabinets because I wanted a 15" speaker for guitar (love that sound) and I wanted it to be able to fit in my BMW trunk. Bag Ends suited those needs and when I heard it I was blown away! I went back to the dealer and ordered a second one the next day. Now I play 2 side by side. I have run Orange, Fender, Marshall and Ampeg Amps in them and the all sound better than they do with the Amps matching cabinets. I have been looking for used one and plan on buying a couple more for my studio.

Deep Red carpet covering, rear ported, locking corner peices, banana/quarter inch jacks.

This cab is super responsive. It can handle almost anything I throw at it.

Reliability : 10
This cab is built like a freakin tank. I would not take a back-up for it. There is nothing that is easily broken on this cab, I like that, it is exactly what I wanted.

6 year limited warranty(WOW!) I am guessing that I'll never have to talk to them.

I cram 1000 watts into this little 'un and it moves air. I have always wanted one of my own and now I have one! If I lost it I would replace it immediately. I compared it with an Aguilar, an Eden, and an SWR, and this cab was the one I went with(the Aggie was a close second) . Plus it was 200$+ cheaper than the others.

I believe these are 2000. The only odd thing is that they are black, and not "Deep Red". Single, tiny 15s. I bought two. They weigh about 45 pounds each and have handles. Extrememly rugged construction. Great corner pieces that nearly lock when stacked or side by side. Bad End makes a 15 with a co-axial horn, but I think these sound better. I run them with an Eden WT-400. They are perfect for what I do. Each one has a 200 watt 8ohm speaker. 1/4 inch or banana inputs.

Sound Quality : 10
Unrealistic. Superb. The best. I discovered these speakers on accident. I went down to The Bass Exchange to check out some Epiphanis, which cost a ton of money. One of these by itself sounded better through my amp. I feel that these, the S15s, sound better than the S15Xs. Those are the same speaker but with that horn thing and an additional $200. The highs sounded artificial for some reason. I played through ever high end speaker in the joint and the S15 sounded better. One will set you back $432 including tax. I did not buy it, though.

The next day I saw my current pair on EBay. I nabbed them both plus some relatively high quality banana clip cables and covers for $575! The guy lived near me, so I picked them up.

These speakers are as close to perfect as I have ever heard. They get real loud for such little guys. I don't know what I am going to do with my Mesa 4-12.

Reliability : 10
Great so far

Treat yourself and your back. Get these speakers. Literally the best I have ever heard.
