This cab is really versatile! Play it with a pick or your finger and both will give you an amazing sound. Loud or even louder they sound great. I play in a 80's tribute band to hard rock/ hair metal/ metal and you can shape the exact sound you want with this amp (ps. head choice is critical, my GK 700RB-2 sounds great with the basson). It real nice to have the on/off button for the tweeter it make the cab even more versatile. For band practice and small to medium/mini-big venues this amp delivers the power !!!

The Basson b210b as incredible lows (Best range a bass cab can have), a nice warm tone, some monster punch (those 2x10 in. does punch), great attack and perfect clear sound (pick or finger). This cabs is perfect for me... no wonder Nikki Sixx got one! Every bass cab should sound like this one! It sounds great with my GK 700RB-2 and i'm using a bass with passive ceramic/magnet pickup. Plus, I also loop-in a Line6 Bass-pod with a pedal which add a twist to the sound.

Shawn at Basson helped me a lot to get my basson since I needed to import it from USA to Canada. I also had a lot of help from TomLee Music in Vancover for importing it. The service both from basson and TomLee Music was great, friendly and without pressure! The warranty is 5 year on this cab.

For me this amp is perfect, it sounds great, it has some nice features and even though it's real heavy (110lbs), it's going to be behind me for every show i'll do!!! I'd buy this amp again anytime-anywhere! The amp head is crucial and the GK 700RB-2 sound great with the basson since it has some great features. The Godin GB-5 (5 string bass played downtune half a tone) sound great with this cab and I can finally ear all of the notes clearly since the basson range include the B string really well (not like any other amp I tryed... Yorkvill, Mesa, Mark Bass, Ampeg...). Now I understand why Nikki got this monster... it's a Basson!

My cabinet was made in 2007. This cabinet reproduces everything almost effortlessly. It features a tweeter that can be turned off or on. It is a sturdy cabinet and weighs about 110 lbs. So carting it around can be backbreaking. I am powering it with a Crown XLS402 amp bridged at 1000 watts into 4 ohms.

I am using a Peavey Millenium 5 string bass with passive pickups. This then goes to my Zoom B2. Out of the Zoom and into an Aguilar db 924 preamp box and then onto my Crown XLS402 amp. When I turn my stuff on and hit the E note on my low B string, my windows and my wife's china closet just rattle. I use the cabinet in church on Sundays and the bass just fills the place. It sounds better than the 18" subwoofers we have there.

I've been in touch with Shawn at Basson (sgreen@bassonsound.com). He has answered all of my questions and has been knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend this company and product to anybody. It beats the pants off SWR, Peavey, Ampeg, and many others I have tried.

If the Basson b210b cabinet was ever lost, I would cry like a baby until I got another one. I can't do without this speaker. I've read all of the reviews of most of the major manufacturers. I took about 2 months to investigate so I could get my money's worth. I know I have gotten my money's worth on this product. Great company, great product, great service!

Two 10 inch speakers with 13lb. magnets. Ported design. Approximately the same size as a big 15 cab, maybe a little bigger. 2 Speakon sockets. Heavy duty side handles. 110 lbs. Removable casters make it easy for one person to transport. Two people can easily lift off or on to a truck or van or the backseat. I'm using a GK 2001RB putting about 650 watts (bridged mode) in to it at low volumes (practicing in my garage) and about 380 watts at higher volumes. Sounds great, it even made my pos Ibanez GSR200 sound good. Horn has an easily accessible on/off switch above the handle on the side. I personally don't care for a horn in my bass sound so I can't really comment on it too much, it sounded good the one time I tried it, not hissy or raspy. My favorite feature is THE RESONANT LOW END. People are shocked when I tell them it is a 2-10 cabinet.

I was extremely pleased with the sound quality of this cab. With my 2001RB and this cab I am squeezing every bit of tone out of my old Stingray. I am not a big fan of high or midrangy tones,I like my bass to sound warm and really feel it in the chest and this cab definitely delivers.

Can't really comment too much here. I have two kids so I hardly ever get to play outside of my garage. The few months I have owned it I have not experienced any problems, even after playing at "neighbors calling the cops" volume levels.

I shopped around for many months and finally decided on the B210B. I was in no way dissapointed in it. When I first heard of Basson it was from a magazine ad with Nikki Sixx in it. I thought to myself "what a cheezy name for a bass cab" but then I found out it was the founder's last name. The main thing I did notice in the ad was the frequency response: 28HZ. I have a "5 string voicing" button on my amp that basically boosts the amp 11db at 20 hz. With my old Peavey 15 I really could not here a difference with the button in or out. But with the Basson those low bass undertones come through crystal clear. I bought it from americanmusic.com for $480 total WITH shipping.

Made in the USA (like everything should be.....) yesterday (seriously), on/off switch on the side of the cab for it's horn (which is pretty easy to get too). 500 watts at 4 ohms w/ 1000watts peak; plenty of power for my modified Mesa Boogie M-pulse (it has the Boogie Big Block 750 power supply so it runs at 550 watts @ 4ohms). 4 quality removable casters, Speakon cable ports, recessed handles. All the features like the big name company speakers. I'm currently gigging in the San Diego area with my rock/progressive rock/metal band, haven't been able to take it out to a show yet (cuz I just got the thing), but I can't freaking wait. For it's size it's a little chubby (110 lbs), but if that's too heavy for you, then either get a roadie or grow a pair.

This is the meat and potatoes of this amp. Pure 100% beefcake. I compared this little 2x10 cab next to my SWR Workingman's 4x10 and 1x15 together and it made my rig look like the skinny kid in gym class. If you want to get serious about your sound, then this is your cab. I've played through the big name cabs, and this one is better (not just as good if not better, but just flat out BETTER!). This will make your amp come alive (as long as you can power the cab properly). The basses I'm using through my rig are both Ibanez's (BTB 555 and SR 505), so yeah, I could probably drop a load on a music man and get even a sweeter tone, but now I don't need to (at least for awhile).
It actually has a good quality horn, not some P.O.S horn that farts out your sound when it's turned on.Turning the horn on and off give the cab 2 extremely distinct tones, each of them good. With the horn off, it give your sound a really smooth jazzy tone and with it on, you can get as dirty as your heart desires. What really makes this cab stand out is how accurate the sound is AND how it is able to keep the low end full with a growl without having the sound hollow out. This 2x10 handled my dropped low B (down to A) better than a 15 cab. It's loud, punchy and accurate. What more can you really ask for?

This company is known for it's durability just as much as it's sound and when the OWNER OF THE COMPANY tells you IN PERSON that you should have no problems, you really do take it to heart. I haven't gigged yet with it (like i said earlier), but I already would feel good about gigging with it w/o a backup because of the personal touch.

I worked with Basson directly for getting my cab. They were super friendly and you can tell they all believe in their product. The cool thing too is that when you call (during business hours) an actual person picks up the phone (usually matt or shawn) and they're totally cool with answering any question you might have. I'm sure that if you leave a message for them, and actual person will call you back in a very reasonable amount of time. 5 year warranty for piece of mind but I'm sure I won't have to exercise it. I used to work in retail for 7 years and I've noticed that good service is hard to come by in the music industry. This company is a nice breath of fresh air.

I've been playing for long enough of time to know what good quality sound is compared to generic, run-of-the-mill, "everybody has it" equipment. If it were stolen I would definitely get another one, hell I wish I had enough power in my amp to get another one anyways. While certain companies like Ampeg and Fender have "set the standard" for how equipment is supposed to sound, I believe Basson has set a new standard for how equipment should sound and how it will sound in the future. If you are looking to get a new bass cab, do yourself a favor and check this company out first if not sometime before you make your final decision. They are competitive price wise with the big names but they have better sound and they are more personal. You will not be disappointed.

Brand new cabinet from Iceni/Zoot in Essex. Brilliant sounding cabinet - I am using it with a Mesa/Boogie 400+ as part of a setup which strikes a blend between portability and great tone. To be honest, this cab has the best tone I have had yet and is anything but a compromise. I play Jazz/Fusion, Funk Metal and so on and this has the clarity and range to cover it all, I cant wait to try it live. Horn is switchable (on/off) so a little limited but the frequency and level is perfect to my ears. I used to use a small amount of enhancer to bringout the super high end (I like a 'toppy' sound) but no need any more. Removable quality castors and good handles. The speakers are Basson's own design and very interesting - more of this later. As the cabinet is so unusual in its design and approach I will score this a 9. Losing a single point because of the on/off functionality of the horn which may bother some.

I am using this with a Mesa 400+ with 5881 tubes and a Vigier Passion series II bass with a Marleaux pre-amp. I like graphite basses bacause of the consistency and juicy treble range coupled with tight lows. This cab matches very well - the amp warms up the sund a little and none of this warmth is lost through this speaker. Same goes for the low end and the mids. I have used a lot of speakers and amplifiers and this is the best so far, I dint know what i was missing. I was worries that 28hz may be 'boomy' and indistinct but it is very tight and neutral. Graphite has never sounded better. I like the Marleaux pre in my bass because of the high treble sweep it offers (8khz) but with this cab I can back off a little. The horn is a little 'hissy' at lowish volumes but nothing noticable when playing and nothing worse than anything else I have tried. There is a slight vibration on G on the E string but again this is not noticable at any volume.

Compared against other cabs I have owned (notabley Hartke 410xl/Mesa 1516BE) this cabinet has them all beaten hands down. The unusual design attracted me in the first place and the design has paid off brilliantly. A 210 that does 28hz?! Fantastic. The price was unbeleivable, i was convinced that was a used price. Weight wise it is fairly hefty but then again so is my amp. I am not a big fan of NEO designs and lighter cabinets and although the magnets on these speakers are MASSIVE, it is well worth it for the added weight. For #250 who am I to grumble. Fantastic value.

This amp comes with heavy duty removable casters which are a big plus when gigging. The horn can be turned on and off which is great depending on what style of music you are playing you may want it on some gigs and off others Plus it has a on off switch right on the side of the amp (easy to find in the dark on stages) . This amp is perfect in my eyes it is exactly what a bassist needs who is looking to get the punch of a 210 and the depth of a 15 cab. This marries the two perfectly . I use this amp gigging and it packs plenty of punch and has a very strong clear sound when playing notes on the higher strings.

Everyone upon hearing this cabinet for the first time comments on how well it sounds they are absolutely amazed the tone and volume i am getting from a 210 cabinet. I am using a Gallien Krueger 1001 rb with this cabinet and i barely even have to turn it up very much to get a very very strong warm sound. I play modern pop punk and eighties hair rock and this amp really carries the sound well. This is a very versatile sounding amp as i said earlier with the horn in the on position you could play some really good funk slap bass lines and hear all the high notes.

I have gigged with many different cabinets from all the top companies over the years and this cabinet is built ver well. The craftsmanship is wonderful. Basson really takes a lot of pride in building these cabinets and it shows. The cabinet for a 210 cabinet is ever bit as big as any 410 cabinet i have ever seen. One big plus is the heavy duty steel handles that are on the sides of the cabinets.

Been playing guitar since the '60s, bass for about five years. I put the cab through a Gallien-Krueger 2000RB. I have "found my sound" so to speak. I would replace it with the 410 model that Basson has. The only thing I would change is the toggle switch that turns on the horn. If a rocker switch were used in the recess, it would not protrude beyond the side of the cab.
