Nice low end.Can be used by itself with no problems.I use a P-Bass w/ash body.Since it a passive axe the sound is organic. But with a touch of brightness.being a metal cone it has a brighter nature to it vs. paper cones.the horn is a bit much. It's to bright. But with a 4x10 and the horn on you can dial it out a bit more and make it more usable.I like the sound.a nice 15"cab

Behringer. The "B" word.Well If your into wasteing money. This is the brand for you.I had a matching 2x10 before this cab.Brought it home and blew it in less than 5 minutes.on low volume no less. The thing with Behringer cab's is if you get a good one there awesome. If you get a bad one (wich is most of the time)...well you know.If I knew I'd be as lucky the next time around I'd buy another.2 of these cabs would just be awesome. It has nice features and the sound is very useable. It's the quality that you have to watch.

Again, for what I paid for these ( I bought two BA115 cabs and the 450 watt Behringer head, all for $600 US. Are you kidding me? No complaints at all, entirely based on bang for the buck. Stop whining about what this amp DOESN'T sound like. If you want to step up and spend 5-times the price for a "better rig" then I say go for it. In the meantime, this is a great deal for a respectable rig.
Next question?

It's in my rehearsal studio getting abused on a regular basis. I turned off the tweeters to warm up the tone, and it sounds great. Cuts through and thumps with the kick drum nicely. I've let my bassist use it on 3 or 4 live gigs and he ended up buying the same rig.

I'm a guitarist with a boatload of expensive guitars and guitar amps. When I decided to invest in the rehearsal studio, I went looking for reliable, reasonably priced drums and a bass rig that I wouldn't have to struggle financially to replace - and with good tone capabilities. I must say I am estatic about this find, and have had literally dozens of bassists in my studio comment on how much they like 1) the price and 2) what it sounds/ feels like considering.

The worst feature of the cab is the tweeter... it's noisy, but you can turn it off. It's big and pretty heavy. The wheels on the bottom are useful, but only on hard surfaces. It digs in on carpet. The grill kind of pokes out too much, so it got dented in almost immediately.

I play a Carvin BK4 and several modded SX's, with Duncan Performers and Reverend PU's. I probably shouldn't have gotten this cab, I'm trying for a more punchy, liquid tone. It's boomy and has absolutely no character whatsoever. I can get better sound playing through a Digitech pedal, but it's still a very sterile sound, no warmth at all.
I'm using the Behringer BX4500H Ultrabass Bass Head, so that probably explains part of it. But I've never pushed it hard enough to get distortion, it's held up well at the higher volumes I played though. It might help to elevate it or at least tilt it up some.
Bottom line is this: It is cheap, but has no character whatsoever. It's loud, boomy and probably won't cut through very well. Pairing it with a 2x10 would help.

Used it about a year. I have a Behringer practice amp and an old Peavey TKO that's basically just a large practice amp.
I wish it had a pot on the tweeter instead of the on/off switch, just to try and get a decent sound.
I would not purchase this cab again, there are much better products at close to the same price. I used to have an Eden 2x12 combo amp and that thing was like butter, deep, but punchy, smooth and warm. I'm still kicking myself for getting rid of it.
The thing I like best is the price and that's why I bought it. I should have looked around more.

Features already posted in several reviews.
I'd prefer a pot for the horn instead of just on/off, but I really do like the footswitch to turn the horn on/off - that's nice.
Built-in wheels are not useful on carpet, and you have to be very careful with the angle even on hard and flat surfaces.
I LOVE the handles. I just wish it could lift itself into my truck. ;-)
My typical rig:
Ibanez SG 885 -> Behringer BDI21 -> QSC RMX 1450 -> Behringer BA115

I play a 4-string OLP MM2, a 5-string Ibanez w/actives, and a handmade 5-string fretless w/passive EMG selects.
I play most styles, but not much slap/pop, but plenty of high-energy thumpin' bass.
This is where I give this cab high marks. It sounds fantastic. I A/B it to my SWR 410T and it is at least as good in power handling, and the sound us very clean and smooth.

My cab was made in 2005. Have used it for 4 months now. Holding up very well. Solidly built, sounds great with BX4500 head. No shortage of power! If you use this cab with the BX4500, be sure to use the Neutrik Speakon connections. Sounds kinda average with a quality 1/4" jack, but really booms with the Speakon connections!

I use a Carvin fretless, passive, thru a Behringer BX4500 head. My group plays everything from funk to metal influenced music. Stays clean at high volumes, but haven't had to turn it past 5. I get a nice fat tone, but with the 15" speaker you may want to turn down your bass setting and up the mid-range.

So far very reliable. I think the only problem with Behringer stuff from what I have read and heard is that on occasion you can get a lemon. So you either love the stuff or hate it depending on your experience.

For the bucks you won't find a cab any better. I have been playing bass for over 20 years, guitar for 26. If it were ripped off, I get another. But I really want the 2 12" cab too, so I might buy that one first, then the 15".

This cab is equppied with a switchable tweeter, 15" aluminum cone. Its supposed to handle 600 watts, and it claims 8 ohms impedance as well. The best thing about the cab is that the tweeter can be switched off. When I used it, all that it produced was an annoying crackle sound.

I play a Fender USA Prcision, and an old active electronic Ibanez 5 string through a Behringer BX4500 head, and a Crate 4x10 cab. The cab sounded decent at lower volumes with my passive bass. When I moved on to higher volumes with the active 5, the speaker blew out. Also, the tweeeter is only an annoying feature that most players won't be fond. Random distortion never really appealed to me.

Absolutely not. The cab worked well enough for about 3 months of very loud band practice, but eventually the speaker died when I turned up and started slapping with an active bass.

I've been playing for about 7 years, and I just needed a cab for larger venues. I reccomend staying away from this company in general. Just save up your money and buy a "big name" cab like Ampeg or GK. Also, ALWAYS buy the extended warranty if its available.

Using an Active Fender Jazz Bass sounds awesome! also a 1988 USA made Charvel/Jackson Active bass sounds awesome... I have played a passive Ibanez bass through it as well and the cabinet it sweet!
Each bass has it's own tone, but the cab is a great sounding cab.

Good solid cabinet. Not as bulky as it looks.
Good design, recessed carrying handles.
The built in wheels are kinda pointless. You have to roll it "just right" otherwise you'll chew up your cabinet. I spent $20 and put casters on it myself. Deduct a point for that.

I play Classic Rock and Blues with a loud guitarist and drummer. Although we usually run the bass through the PA to get the power out front, I had no problems getting over them on stage.
Full powerful sound. Thump you can feel.
The aluminum driver is tight, punchy and clean. Absolutley awesome! The tweeter is a little hissy (not nearly as bad as a guitar player's rig with all the FX pedals.) but does provide a nice full spectrum of sound when playing.

Time will tell. Cabinets usually don't break down.
I don't think it will blow anytime soon as it is rated at 600W and I really don't abuse my stuff.
I have about 12 total hours on the cabinet so far and it is still going strong.

I registered my warranty info easily enough on line and I think it would be very easy to find a service center in the Kansas City area.
Manufacturer warranty is 1 yr P&L. Got an extra year from American Musical.

I've been playing for 15+ years and the Behringer stuff is awesome. I already have 10 solid hours of hard, live and loud playing on the whole rig in a large club and it is an absolute champion.
If it got lost or stolen I'd probably cry but would replace it in a heartbeat. Bottom line? I use this cab with a Behringer BX3000T head and a Madison 2X10 on top.
My 3/4 stack cost me a grand total of $600 vs the same from SWR or Ampeg for more than twice the price and it gets the job done nicely. Unless you just gotta have the "name brand" on your gear to feel like a pro you won't be dissapointed.

I own a ba115. You can read the features above or below. I have it coupled with a ba210, and I've never had a cleaner tone!!!!! I've owned Ampeg cabs, EV cabs, older peavey junk, and a full Carvin rig (410+115), and nothing in the price range can touch it, in my opinion. I'm running a full Behringer setup. EUROPOWER EP1500 700x2 power amp, thru a rackmount Behringer Bass V-Amp. I have enough headroom for my personal needs, and then some!! (I'm at about a 1/4 volume level, now that the amp is bridged......clean walls 2the balls!). If I want different, I dial the V-Amp. Very versatile for approx $900 for the whole entire setup.
As far as the horn goes, it does sound hissy when it's turned on, but I would probably never use it, cuz I can use my eq's for any super-sized highs if need be. But why, I'm just the bass player! It is ported nicely though.

Ok, the only thing I hate, is the recessed wheels, cuz it'll just scrape up the bottom if you don't roll it correctly, so I've purchased casters for the bee-atch!

I use one Epiphone Thunderbird bass, a Behringer BX3000T 300W RMS head and this cab. I get almost all the sounds i wished for (except for some overdrived ones but that's because my amp is very clean!). This cab has a very deep sound, but wtf, it's a 15inch cab!!! Only drawback is the tweeter is kinda hissy on low volumes. But I don't play on low volumes...........
